Porn Valley- Having spun a virtuoso trailer for Payback: Evolution of a Gangbang, Guy Capo- www.evolutionerotica.com – finishes up editing on the Payback project and is about to embark on a gonzo series on the style of American Gunk but titled Guy Capo’s Sexual Revolution.
“Right after American Gunk I wanted to see the different way I could spin other styles,” says Capo. “That was my first spin on gonzo. Then we did Sex, Drugs & Rock N’ Roll which is like a spin on a quasi-feature. Then we did Payback which is a full blown feature. Now it’s time to re-visit the American Gunk principle and kind of tweak it now that I’ve got all the bugs worked out. I want to go back and really do it right. Guy Capo’s Sexual Revolution will be the new title.”
According to Capo, it’s going to be very politically-oriented and very protest-oriented. “I’m hoping that it’s going to be American Gunk all polished up and shot up on steroids,” he says. American Gunk was originally supposed to be a series but Capo says he was unhappy with the box.
“We didn’t have the bugs worked out on the photography. I took a lot of the stills myself and I’m not a still photographer by any stretch of the imagination. Naturally the box suffered and the eye appeal, at least on the consumer level, wasn’t as strong as we wanted it to be.” Rather than put the Gunk name back out there only to have consumers make pre-assumptions based on the title, Capo said it was better to revamp the look and feel of the project altogether. “It’s all founded on the same principles, it’s just now all cleaned up.”
Given his druthers, Capo said he would like to have remained on the Gunk project from the get go to develop it as a series rather than get sidetracked “with all this storyline shit.”
“But it was the niche that we didn’t have filled,” Capo concedes. “We have Tommy [Byron] covering all the gonzo bases and Charley [Crow] covering the feature bases. We needed something in between gonzo and feature and that’s where Sex, Drugs & Rock N’ Roll and Payback came in. Now it’s time to get back to something really edgy and challenging to the consumer.”
Between now and the shooting of the sex scenes for Sexual Revolution, Capo said he’d like to be working on its interjectory segments- “Almost like commercial breaks; parodies of things that you typically see on TV given a porn twist. By the time I get the sex scenes in the can, I’ve got all my cutaways edited together.”
But the most gratifying thing for him, says Capo is the fact that he’s now hitting his stride. He says American Gunk accomplished about 70% of what he wanted to do; “Sex” was considerably better as far as assembling the mental and physical elements and, with Payback, Capo says he’s come as close to the look and feel of what he wants to get on screen.
