VAN NUYS, Calif. — Award winning London-based studio Harmony Films officially opens its American operations in Van Nuys, adding to its staff to better serve its customers and expand its business.

Orders are fulfilled from the company's library of titles at the facility. Linda Alcala, formerly of Evil Angel, was also named sales and marketing assistant for the office.

"We spent the first week of this month setting up and getting our stock sorted," Jason Maskell, Harmony Films' sales and marketing manager, said.

"We're running at 100 percent and Linda is a great addition to our sales force. We look forward to increase our North American sales with her help, as well as working with our existing customers and building relations with new customers."

The first movie to be released since Harmony Films moved its American sales and distribution in-house is Gazzman's "Young Harlots: Dirty Secrets," starring Susana Abril, Eve Angel, Sandy Cage, Carmen McCarthy, Carmel Moore, Robyn Truelove and Poppy Morgan on Nov. 19.

Strangelove's "Ladies of Pleasure," featuring Sofia Valentine, Jools Brook, Zafira, Renee Richards, Black Angelika and others will be released a week later.

"Young Harlots: Dirty Secrets" and "Ladies of Pleasure" will also be the first sold in the US with the same covers, o-cards and branding Harmony Films uses globally.

"All aspects of our movies are carefully planned — including the artwork on our box covers," Maskell said. "We're very pleased our American fans and customers will be able to enjoy our titles from the moment they pick them up."

American distributors may contact Linda Alcala at 877-641-5300 ext. 256 or 818-989-1570, 818-989-1580 (fax) and [email protected] for orders.
