Romero, known as Mr. Alien and founder of Hentaied, was recently profiled alongside contract star Emiri Momota in issue #39 of Delirium magazine. The feature, titled "Horror Porn Where Mainstream Horror Ends and Niche Porn Begins," was penned by Scott Feinblatt.
Creative Inspirations and Hentaied's Origins
Romero's creative process often involves vivid, unsettling visions. One such vision describes a woman experiencing a sharp sting and something foreign, possibly eggs, entering her skin. Her body would become a vessel, a hive, and a source of contamination. She would discover an unspeakable formation inside her after an X-ray, and her clitoris would become sensitive and swollen, transforming into a sex organ used to infect others and build a colony.
These "dark, feverish visions" routinely strike Romero while he is reading manga. He described one such idea as coming "out of nowhere," stating, "I wasn’t thinking of anything in particular, and it just came into my mind. It just arrived." Romero views ideas as "invading parasites" that take root in his brain until they are brought to life on camera. This perspective led to the development of Hentaied as an outlet for these persistent images.
Romero also recalled dreaming for months of "women completely full of cum," which he eventually felt needed to "get out" of his head. This creative drive manifests in his work through monsters, slime-covered sets, and writhing bodies. Hentaied's sister sites, Parasited and Futanari, also serve as platforms for these concepts.
Romero's Extensive Body of Work
Romero's body of work includes more than 5,500 scenes. This content is characterized by alien parasites, monstrous transformations, possession, futanari experiments, full-body prosthetics, and surreal psychological meltdowns. These scenes often unfold under fluorescent lighting and a "rain of sticky fluids." The content is described as extreme, elaborate, and polarizing, and it "barely resembles porn in any traditional sense."
In the Delirium interview, Romero addressed questions regarding his inspiration for the Hentaied brand, the origins of his story ideas, the atmosphere on his sets, and how his casting process compares to mainstream casting. He expressed excitement about the feature's release, stating, "We did this interview at the end of last year, and I’m excited it’s finally out. It’s great to reach the mainstream with what we’re doing. Many of our productions are higher-end than many mainstream projects. I’m curious to see the reception our feature gets."
Emiri Momota's Perspective
Contract star Emiri Momota was also featured in the Delirium article. She discussed the differences between her online personas, "Emiri Momota" and "Sumire Mizukawa." Momota also spoke about her experiences working for both Japanese and Western studios, highlighting how Romero’s studios differ from other Western studios. Her interview covered how she discovered live-action tentacle scenes and her appreciation for horror movies. The four-page feature included stills from Romero’s scenes and photos of Momota on set.
