NY- There won’t be any sunshine where she’s going.

Blond grifter Nancy (Sunshine) Jace, already convicted of sweet-talking five elderly men out of their bank accounts, was slammed yesterday by a Queens judge for swindling landlords out of thousands of dollars.

Jace, who escaped with probation for using her wiles to squeeze geezers out of their savings, was sentenced this time to eight-to-24 years in prison. Her husband, Danny Nicholas, got seven-to-16 years.

“This is good for society, people need to know what these people did,” said U.S. Army Reservist David Wang, who lost thousands from renting the couple his Fresh Meadows house. “But it still doesn’t get me back my money. I feel better [that] they are going to prison. But I’ve never gotten a penny back.”

The investigation into the landlord larceny began after Wang learned Jace allegedly conned elderly men out of nearly $300,000 by plying them with sad stories of sick siblings, or with madeup maladies of her own.

Wang told prosecutors that Jace and Nicholas failed to pay him rent for months while he was on overseas military duty preparing to go to Iraq.

Investigators found that from 1997 to 2005 the couple wrangled $86,000 out of six landlords. They would pay for a couple of months but then stop. Just as eviction proceedings began they would file fake bankruptcy petitions to stall for several more months.

“The defendants thought they could live a lavish life, rent free,” Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said. “Instead they will now be living their lives in state prison.”

The stiff penalties were handed out by Queens Supreme Court Justice John Latella, who last month found the couple guilty of fraud and larceny charges following a bench trial.
