from www.kwtx.com – Shanice Adel Lambert, 38, a former Childress teacher’s aide, has been sentenced to 2½ years in prison for taking a 15-year-old student to Oklahoma and having sex with him.

Lambert was sentenced after she reached a plea deal and in November pleaded guilty to travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.

Prosecutors say Lambert was working in the Childress Independent School District when she began a sexual relationship with the boy.

In February 2012 Lambert traveled to Altus, Okla., and rented a motel room for the pair.

Lambert was indicted on charges of production of child pornography, enticement of a minor and transportation of a minor to engage in criminal sexual activity.

Prosecutors say Lambert used a cellphone to communicate with the youth.

Back story from www.connectamarillo.com – A former teacher’s aide has been indicted on four counts of child porn-related charges Wednesday.

A federal grand jury in Lubbock has indicted Shanice Adel Lambert, 38, on federal charges of production of child porn, enticement of a minor and two counts of transporting a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.

According to the indictment Lambert made a recording of a boy during sexual arousal with a mobile phone and sent the recordings to several different states.

Lambert also tried to get the boy to have sex with her, driving the boy from Texas to Oklahoma, on two separate occasions, indictments said.

School officials from Childress said they had put Lambert on administrative leave, but said she no longer is employed with the district. The district also had filed a report to the State Board of Education Certification.

Lambert had turned herself in according to DPS officials. She was charged at the time with an inappropriate relationship between educator and student and sexual assault of a child.

Lambert, if convicted, faces up to 30 years in prison for the child porn charge and up to life in prison for each remaining charge.
