Cophenhagen- Scores of charged hormones flooded Valby Hallen in Copenhagen from 5 – 8 March to take advantage of the 2009 12th annual Erotic World trade show. The crowd was treated to a montage of live strip shows, famous film stars, tattoo and body piercing opportunities, a dominatrix den and discounts on thousands of erotic goods.
Young women in exotic corsets mingled with potential buyers as sexy bartenders offered reasonably priced beverages behind the many makeshift bars located throughout the arena. Many stands displayed continuously running pornography while customers browsed over latex body suits, S&M gear and titillating lingerie.
The entire four-day affair was focused on exposing the public to the various ‘ins and outs’ of the erotic industry. The fair, which ran in 11 Danish cities this year, was set up to allow people the opportunity to shop freely for erotic merchandise without feeling embarrassed or ashamed.
The trade show also offered inspirational ideas for those who were looking to spice up their sex life.
Among those on hand to meet with fans and sign autographs was Danish actress and singer Gry Bay. Bay is perhaps best known for her starring role in the sexually provocative film All About Anna, in which she won the Scandinavian Adult Award for Best-Selling Scandinavian Star of 2006 for her performance.
‘The difference between porn films and erotic films is the attention given to the roles. Porn is much more detailed and ‘in your face’, whereas erotic films are more of a personal, artistic statement,’ explained Bay.
