Porn Valley- I spoke to Jenna Presley Thursday night and among the things we talked about I asked if she were still seeing Travis Nestor. See him? She asks. She’s marrying him. Jenna says they plan to wed later in the year.
During our chat, Presley’s telling me she’s waiting for her sister to come into town.
“She’s stuck at the Union Station because a conductor didn’t show up for work,” says Presley. “Last time she rode the train, the train broke down and she was four hours late. She always has the worst luck on trains.”
There had been rumors, and Presley explains that she wasn’t out of the business but on a store signing tour with Zero Tolerance to promote a few of the movies she had done for them.
“I took an absence from performing- it was about a month,” she states.
“That’s a long time in dog years,” I tell her.
“But I was till having movies,” released she laughs. “Actually I don’t think anybody noticed except producers and agents. I just got back with Lisa Ann [www.cleartalentmanagement.com]. She’s doing great for me. She’s got me some good bookings so far. I love being with her.”
“Zero Tolerance had a big tour bus and they put our pictures on it,” continues Presley about the tour. “There were two car accidents from people staring at the pictures. There was a store signing I did in LA. I guess there was this lady driving by and she was staring at the bus and she nailed the van. That was pretty crazy. Other than that it was a lot of fun and I got to meet a lot of cool people.”
Prior to the AEE show in Vegas, Presley did a store signing in Alaska.
“I couldn’t believe how many people were there- there was a three hour line,” she says.
“That’s their whole day right there.”
“It was crazy,” Presley agrees. “That was with me Charlie Laine, Courtney Cummz and Sativa Rose. I couldn’t believe there were that many people there to see us. But I guess it’s because of the guy-to-girl ratio. I’ve been having fun doing store signings and it was a nice little break. But I’m glad to be back.”
Presley was in Alaska for only two days but loved the time she was there.
“It was a little bit different because I’m from San Diego. When people go jogging in the morning, they usually jog around the golf course. But in Alaska they jog around the mall. They jog in the mall. The third floor is designated for joggers. So I thought that was a little weird. And it also sucked waking up nine o’clock in the morning and it being pitch black outside. I woke up and felt exhausted because it was so dark. I felt I should still be in bed.”
Presley also did signings in Arizona, noting that there’s a few Castle Megastores there.
“There’s one right across the street from the other,” she laughs. “We also got to do some cool radio appearances and went to some strip clubs and met hot chicks. Arizona, by the way has gorgeous girls at their strip clubs. Normally when I go to a strip club I’m trying to find a hot girl. I’m in Arizona, I’m like, oh my God, I don’t know which one I want. They’re all so hot.”
Presley mentions that she met Lisa Ann when they were both working for LA Direct.
“Her and I just hit it off,” says Presley. “She was kind of like a momma to me. She was very supportive of what I did and didn’t want to do. I think she has my best interest at heart. If I tell her that there’s something I don’t want to do she has no problems with that. Some agents will be like I want you to do anal or this or that.
“Lisa’s very, very respectful. She’s been in this business for such a long time. So I trust her opinion. She knows how to make a girl last in this business and she sat me down and asked me what my goals were in this business. So based on my goals she’s going to help me achieve them and I want to last in this business. If I perform every single day she said you’ll get shot out by doing that.
“I cut down on the amount of scenes that I do,” Presley goes on to say. “I only work Monday through Thursday. I take the weekends off which is very nice and I get to have some time off. Instead of working 6, 7 days a week.
“Working with LA Direct, that was the kind of schedule you had.”
“At first I honestly didn’t mind,” says Presley. “I dropped out of college to do porn. I loved it. The money’s so great. I put all my money away and I was saving. It was really, really great. Then I realized you’re making at least $800, $900 a day. You don’t need to work seven days a week making that. The average person makes that in two weeks. I figure the money is great but I don’t need to be making that much and I have some saved. Plus it takes its toll. I’ve been in the business almost a year and a half now and I notice that I can’t handle working seven days a week any more.”
“How would you have characterized your time at LA Direct?”
“Derek and I when I first got with him was such a father-figure to me,” states Presley. “I lived in his house.” But Presley says she was the only girl not allowed out past ten o’clock.
“It’s crazy. I’m like, Derek, you have at least 100 girls, you don’t know what all your other girls are doing! To be honest I hated it at first. I was 18 and I was finally out of my parents’ house. I wanted to be free and here I go, I get with Derek. But at the time he had my best interests at heart. I think he didn’t want me out past ten not to be exhausted for a shoot the next day. And he wouldn’t allow me to have a boyfriend. When I broke the news I was moving out he didn’t think I would be responsible and would have my phone shut off. I’m like I’m not going to argue. I’m going to prove you wrong.”
Presley was with the agency a year when she left for Lisa Ann.
“Derek and I still get along great,” she points out. “He’s still my friend. There were just some problems with other people that worked his front desk. He runs a great business but there were girls there that love drama and I don’t. Girls will be girls. I decided to leave Derek on good terms and I got with Lisa Ann. I was with her about a month. Then I was booked to do these store signings that I didn’t need an agent to book me scenes because I didn’t have time. Now that I’m done with the signings I contacted Lisa and I asked her if she’d be willing to represent me again. She said of course.”
I remember interviewing Presley one of the first days she was in the business- at Skeeter’s house.
“I haven’t talked to him in ages,” she says. “Skeeter was, like, let’s make up a story for Gene. It was something that he couldn’t afford cigarettes any more and he was making me buy them for him. Skeeter’s a funny guy, he really is.”
Among her projects, Presley shot a movie for Wicked Pictures. In it she does two scenes and a bonus scene. She has the starring role in the David Stanley directed vehicle, Lady of the Evening. It’s a comedy and Presley has the boxcover.
“I was so excited to be a part of that,” she says. “I was going through the whole ClubJenna. I competed for a contract and I got second place. But I had my head high because I wanted a Wicked contract anyways. I’m hoping that maybe they’re testing the waters to see how my movie does and maybe I can get a Wicked contract eventually. That’s my big goal. I would love to be a Wicked contract girl. I think all of the directors over there are great.”
Which is not to say that Presley doesn’t have a fondness for gonzo.
“To be quite honest, the only difference from feature and gonzo- obviously there’s the stereotype that when the girl becomes a contract girl she likes to have pretty sex and isn’t dirty any more. But that’s not the case. To me the only difference is that instead of just being dirty I have to act and have to lead into the scene. But my scenes are going to be just as nasty. When I get booked for a feature film, I’m not just moaning. I’m yelling out my dirty words and I’m being Jenna Presley.
“So nothing’s going to change if I get a contract- my scenes will still be just as nasty.”
Presley mentions that she and Travis are now engaged and plan a wedding sometime in October.
“He’s such a sweetheart- he’s such a great guy,” she gushes. “I’m very, very happy with him. I’ve never been happier in my life.”
They met when Presley was booked to work for Zero Tolerance. She was told that Travis was the director. Instead it was Mike Quasar. But thinking he was the director, Presley started flirting with Travis.
“I get on set and he introduces himself as Travis,” she laughs. “I’m thinking he’s the director, it turns out he was the production manager. But we totally hit it off. I invited him over just to hang out. One thing led to another and we’ve been dating since we met. He came over probably three days after we met and then he hired me for about four or five more scenes. After that I’m like you have to sleep over, I like you. You got to come hang out, spend the night.”
But Presley hastens to note that she didn’t have sex on the first date.
“I made him wait- I really did,” she swears. “I wanted to make sure that I liked him. I didn’t want him to think that I was some stereotypical easy porno slut. Which typically I would be. But I liked him. I’ve got to be classy with the guys I like. I wanted to give him what he wasn’t expecting.”
“A porno love story,” I reflect.
“If it weren’t for porn, we wouldn’t be together,” Presley sighs. “I’m so thankful that I got into this business.”
Because Travis’ mother is a travel agent, Presley says they’ve been mulling over many places to spend their honeymoon. She likes Paris. Travis wants to go to Amsterdam [a real shocker, there]. They might wind up going to both places. Maybe Prague as well.
I was curious how he introduced Presley to mom and how that went.
“I was very, very nervous because he talks very highly about his parents,” she says. “They’ve very sweet people. But he was dating a girl that wasn’t too nice. He said my parents really hated my ex-girlfriend. He basically made it seem like they were going to be very judgmental because of the former girlfriend. I was so scared, like why did you tell me all this. And I meet them and we just hit it off and Travis was so surprised. He’s like, my mom never talks to any of my girlfriends that way she talks to you. Me and his mom and me and his dad are buddies.”
Because they knew Presley was in the business she thought there’d be problems.
“His mom told me straight up, I love you but I wish you had a different job. And she keeps giving me different papers for college.”
Presley says at some point she’ll enroll because she wants to do motivational speaking for people with eating disorders.
