Los Angeles, CA – The Mayans predicted that the end of the world would befall us in the year 2012, but what if Armageddon were to arrive ahead of schedule?
What would you do if you found out you only had five days to live? 2011 XBIZ Feature Studio Of The Year Wicked Pictures is pleased to invite members of the press to join XBIZ and XRCO award-winning director Brad Armstrong as he explores these provocative questions in The Countdown a topical and thought provoking look at that time before the end of time. This exciting XXX mega-production is shooting next week on locations in and around Los Angeles.
As The Countdown unfolds, we learn that a group of fringe astronomers have been monitoring a rogue asteroid. They have discovered that “Vesta” (the 2nd largest asteroid in the solar system) has fallen out of its regular orbit due to a collision with several other objects in space. It’s the size of Arizona and weighs 300,000 metric tons. And it’s hurtling towards earth at approximately 220,000 miles per hour. Should it reach our planet, life as we know it will end.
With this fascinating concept in place, the film’s compelling story follows several groups of people as they spend their final days preparing for the inevitable. From the President and his Cabinet to the everyday man on the street, everyone prepares for “The End” in different ways. Some with courage, some with fear, and others with unexpected humor.
Armstrong has secured a high-powered cast for his latest couples-oriented production, with Wicked contract superstars jessica drake, Kaylani Lei and Alektra Blue sharing the screen with 2011 AVN Best Actress India Summer and such other acclaimed performers as Misty Stone, Dana DeArmond, Lezley Zen, Seth Gamble, Michael Vegas, Bill Bailey, Jack Lawrence, Jason Johnson, Derrick Pierce, Xander Corvus, Rocco Reed, Tyler Knight, Randy Spears, Hal M, Jack Vegas and Frank B.
