HUTCHINSON, Kan. from www.kmbc.com – — A Hutchinson adult video store has pulled its Facebook page after parents voiced concerns about the large number young “friends” the business had.
The Hutchinson News reports that Spice It Up Video’s page had compiled about 1,200 friends on the social networking site since being set up in February. Some parents had reported that their children had received multiple friend requests on Facebook from the store’s page.
Company owner Wanda Loveless says a former employee set up the page and she didn’t know if minors had received friend requests.
Loveless said she’s never even logged onto Facebook.
District Attorney Keith Schroeder said there’s nothing illegal about the page, which states that nobody under 18 is allowed inside the store.
