from www.palmettoscoop.com – The desperate Congressional campaign of Democrat Rob Miller has enlisted the aid of a very interesting, controversial new ally.
Larry Flynt, the infamous publisher of the pornographic magazine “Hustler” and an outspoken left-wing activist, has taken to his personal blog to solicit support and money for Miller.
Flynt’s love of Miller has much to do with the fact that he has no love for Miller’s opponent, Congressman Joe Wilson. In fact, Wilson was named Hustler’s “A**hole of the Month” in February for yelling “you lie” at President Barack Obama during a health care speech to Congress last year.
“What bothers us about Wilson’s outburst is its apparent underlying racism, especially since nothing like this ever happened before,” Flynt wrote. “Consider the following: Wilson is a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans, an organization said to be riddled with radical neo-Confederates who advocate secession and defend slavery.”
Flynt went on to rattle off Wilson’s connection to former U.S. Sen. Strom Thurmond and his vote to keep the Confederate flag on the Statehouse dome as rationale for his ridiculous claim that Wilson is a racist.
“Wilson’s hostility toward healthcare reform and Obama is so obsessive that he supported Bates Motel-crazy Glenn Beck’s 9/12 march on Washington,” Flynt wrote. “Here’s what we can do to nip this nascent dipsh*t dynasty in the bud: Make a donation to Rob Miller, Joe Wilson’s Democratic opponent in the 2010 elections.”
Of course, the real story here is Miller — a man whose words present a moderate Democrat while his actions portray an out-of-touch liberal. Actions like hosting swanky fundraisers with New York City liberals, supporting taxpayer-funded abortions, and kicking the media out of campaign events to cover it all up.
National Republican Congessional Committee spokesman Andy Seré wasn’t exactly shocked that Flynt would back Miller.
“It’s no surprise that a prominent purveyor of pornography is hustling up campaign cash for Rob Miller,” Seré told The Palmetto Scoop.
“His obscenely liberal ideology may be X-rated in South Carolina, but Hollywood knows he’s their kind of guy.”
Perhaps Miller would have more luck running in Hollywood than South Carolina’s conservative 2nd Congressional district.
