LOS ANGELES — LFP Broadcasting, parent company of Hustler TV, has announced the launch of the Hustler TV pay per view (PPV) channel on Intelsat Americas 7, transponder 16 (formerly known as Telstar 7). Ascent Media Network Services will handle all network origination. Hustler TV for PPV launched on October 1, 2004 and is offered on an individual title format or in 3-hour and 6-hour blocks or as a monthly subscription service on a 24/7 basis. The service incorporates a broad selection of exclusive, high quality adult content from recognized providers including VCA Pictures and Hustler Video.
A video on demand (VOD) offering of Hustler TV called Hustler TV On Demand was recently launched nationwide to multiple cable operators with various size packages, some up to 50-hours of VOD programming per month with a 50% refresh rate.
Hustler TV launched as a PPV channel in Canada last year and is currently being carried by a majority of the cable systems in that territory.
“We are extremely excited about the domestic launch of the Hustler TV PPV channel,” said Michael H. Klein, Executive Vice President, LFP Broadcasting. “With the dominating performance that we have seen of the Hustler TV PPV channel in Canada and the already high buy rates seen from our VOD service here, we are confident that Hustler TV will be one of the leading adult PPV networks in the US.”
