Detroit, Michigan – from www.myfoxdetroit.com – A spokesperson for Lovers Lane retail stores says this past Mothers Day weekend, a Lovers Lane delivery truck was stolen out of the corporate facility located in Plymouth Township, Michigan.

Preparing for a delivery to multiple stores, the truck was loaded with over a quarter of a million dollars worth of merchandise. Though the truck was recovered Monday, May 10th, the product is still missing.

The police and Lovers Lane are looking for any information that could shed light on the whereabouts of the missing lingerie, toys and lube. There has been quite a buzz in this area since the merchandise has gone missing, said Marketing Specialist Eric Gorde. Hopefully these panty raiders are apprehended.

With 10 stores throughout Michigan, Lovers Lane is one of the countrys largest retailers of lingerie, dancewear, and bedroom essentials.

Lovers Lane is offering a reward for any information leading to an arrest of those involved.

from www.wwj.com – — Over 300 boxes of lingerie and adult novelties were stolen from the Michigan-based adult store Lover’s Lane this weekend, and they are now looking for the culprit.

Store spokesman Eric Gorde says their truck which was packed with the goods was stolen from the corporate headquarters in Plymouth Township.

Gorde tells WWJ the items include bachelorette products, dance-wear and all kinds of adult toys — most of the products tagged for Lover’s Lane.

Gorde believes those responsible plan to sell the items.

“It would be tough for anything else, we had a lot loaded on that truck… I am guessing that the reason they took it would be for possible re-sale, because it’s more than just one person, or one couple, could use at any time,” Gorde said.

The merchandise was heading to stores in Chicago. Gorde says it’s worth about a quarter million dollars.
