Dat sucka got a law degree by now.
NEW CITY, N.Y. — If former NFL star Lawrence Taylor keeps fighting his third-degree rape charge, his New York trial could be just weeks away.
Taylor is accused of having sex with a 16-year-old prostitute at a suburban New York hotel in May. He has pleaded not guilty to third-degree rape, patronizing a prostitute, sexual abuse and endangering a child. And he has rejected a plea bargain that would send him to prison for six months.
Taylor is due in court Thursday afternoon.
Rockland County prosecutor Arthur Ferraro said last month that the trial could start in January. There have been some delays since then, and a pretrial hearing on the admissibility of statements Taylor made upon his arrest has not yet been held. But a trial could start soon after that.
