from www.whbl.com – A suburban Chicago man is accused of following a female stripper in his car for 65 miles in northern Wisconsin, and then running her over.

70-year-old Benedict Sedivy of Cicero Illinois is charged in Florence County with two felony counts of reckless endangerment and a felony count of aggravated battery.

According to prosecutors, Sedivy had a large knife a week ago when he confronted a 46-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman whom he knew was a dancer at an Eagle River strip club.

The couple tried escaping, and authorities said Sedivy followed them from an Eagle River hotel to Florence.

A trucker said he saw the two vehicles pass him at 90 miles an hour. The woman’s accomplice said Sedivy’s car hit him twice during the chase – and when they got to Florence, the couple’s car spun into a ditch to try and lose Sedivy.

Officials said the couple ran into a wooded area, but the woman decided to talk to the suspect – and he carried her on his hood for 150 yards before slamming on the brakes and throwing her into a ditch.

Sedivy then reportedly left, but sheriff’s deputies followed tire tracks on a snowmobile trail and caught him.

The woman and the other driver were treated at an Upper Michigan hospital and later released.

Sedivy was jailed at last word under a $5,000 bond. He’s due back in court next Tuesday.
