[Philly.com]- MARY CAREY sang Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl” with The Beatoffs Friday night when the band played Bootleggers (1936 MacDade), in Woodlyn.
The porn starlet is friends with former 94 WYSP DJ Kidd Chris, who plays guitar in the band fronted by his former sidekick Thomas. Carey was a frequent guest on the show of Kidd Chris, who was fired in May after a guest performed a racist song, “Schwoogies,” to the tune of Blondie’s “Call Me,” in the studio.
Lady Gash, who is still friendly with the show’s crew, was at the show as well, but did not perform. Former Q102 host Diego Ramos was also among the crowd. Carey danced this weekend at the World Famous Gold Club (1416 Chancellor) where 100.3 The Beat’s Pooch showed up Friday to catch her.
Carey, 28, who is among castmates on VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab Presents Sober House,” would not have made Dr. Drew Pinsky very happy this weekend as she was drinking vodka and Red Bull all night Friday. Saturday night, Carey and Gold Club co-owner Chris Weinerman took in the Sixers/Magic game at the Wachovia Center.
We’re not sure if Sixers forward Jason Smith saw Carey in the stands. The pair made out last year in a New York nightclub.
