Nevada Taxicab Authority rejects Deja Vu Showgirls complaints; Cabbies Calling the Girls Ugly & Fat?

LAS VEGAS — The Nevada Taxicab Authority has rejected complaints from two Las Vegas strip clubs claiming cabbies steer tourists to rival establishments that pay drivers more than $100 per customer.

The authority board voted 3-0 to reject the complaints by Deja Vu Showgirls and Little Darlings, saying there’s no evidence the 12 Clark County cab companies violated state or local laws.

There has been an escalating battle to attract tourists to topless and nude dancing clubs.

Attorney Neil Beller, who represents the two clubs, says his clients are also upset that drivers make disparaging remarks about club dancers, including statements that the girls are ugly and fat. Beller says he will appeal the ruling to the Nevada Transportation Authority.
