New Jersey- In the wake of New Jersey Gov. Jim McGreevey’s resignation, more stories are emerging about his quirky administration.

“He had a thing about high heels,” one former State House staffer tells me. “Women weren’t supposed to wear them around him.”

Apparently the Garden State governor, whose haircut levels out at around 5-foot-6, didn’t like female staffers looming over him.

Says the source, “It was not an official order, but it was understood that staffers in high heels made him uncomfortable.”
