No, I’m Spartacus!!!! So What Happened?

Last August it was announced that Miko Lee Productions, in association with London Gunn Productions, had completed principal photography on the adult movie of the year, “Spartacus XXX.”

The production, based on the cable TV show was going to be released through Wicked Pictures.

“This is not a parody. We’re not making fun of the series, quite the
opposite. This is a very serious film.” Miko Lee said at the time.

“We have a very high-end budget so that we can bring you not only great sex but an outstanding story as well.”

“Spartacus XXX” was the brainchild of Marcus London, who directed from his
own script.

The cast included Tommy Gunn, Tony DeSergio, Brad Armstrong, Nacho Vidal, Gracie Glam, Devon Lee, India Summer, Andy San Dimas, Jenna Presley, Tanya Tate, Prinzzess, Nicole Aniston, Charley Chase, Nikki Daniels, Carina Roman, Melanie Rios, Ben English, Jack Lawrence, Kyle Stone, Eric Masterson, Jack Vegas, and newcomer Lucas Stone as Doctore.

Miko Lee Productions owner Miko Lee is the Executive Producer, and also appears in a dream sequence as an exotic Asian seductress.

“It’s not as farfetched as you may think,” Lee said. “Asian cultures go as
far back as the Romans do. We are taking a little dramatic license, but it’s not totally off the wall.”

“Spartacus XXX” was shot using costumes and sets hand crafted by Tommy Gunn
and Marcus London.

“We were looking for authenticity,” London said.

“In the costumes, in the sets, in the fighting. We have a stunt coordinator coming in from Toronto, Paul Rapovski, to help us choreograph the fights. And we are also using mainstream high-speed cameras to capture the intensity of this production.”

Gunn agreed on the importance of the rustic, hand-crafted look in the sets
and costumes.

“When you want something done right, you do it yourself, and we do it all
ourselves, from the ground up,” Gunn said, waving his cut, blistered and
bruised hands. “Nobody can deny our devotion and it comes from wanting to be better, inside, individually. It’s not for the money, it’s for the payoff of knowing you bled and sweated and even cried during the passionate process of the journey.

“I encourage our fellow industry brothers to do the same… I almost dare
you to do better!”

“Spartacus XXX” had a 7-day shooting schedule over a period of two weeks.
The release was planned by September 15th, 2011 in time for the AVN awards consideration.

That time has long come and gone. Teaser clips have been put out and spartacusxxx.blogspot.com states as of June 3rd: “As the time nears to the release of Spartacus MMXII the question of how will the industry receive this epic production is the big question, As this movie redefines the format and feel of adult erotica or porn as it is know by will the fans see beyond the sex and enjoy the work and passion that make this film so special.”

What I’ve been told? Nic Andrews is working like a mad man in the editing bay. What the problems are, one can only hazard a guess with a release date running nine months behind schedule.
