> Robbye Bentley posts on www.xxxporntalk.com: just a thought…whenever I was asked to go above and beyond (i.e., hand over my % of my personal paysite, give up my % of magazine sales – all b/c matrix wasn’t turning enough profit) i was a “partner”, b/c i was taking it (straight up the ass) for the team.
when norman and i started to have marital problems, all of a sudden…i was an “employee.” my company amex was cancelled, i was taken off of the corporate checking account, and was constantly warding off threats of being fired for various reasons…by the way… i NEVER saw any $ from my website, or any $ from magazine sales, even after demoted to “employee” status…
WELCOME TO MY WORLD, KEITH AND ANTHONY!!!
now you all know why i’m such a bitch
> earlier posting from doodles noddles:I have a thought on this, because I know 2 of the people involved.
I’ve met Anthony Simone at a lot of industry functions since he was at Metro, always a good guy to talk to and hang out with. Remember hanging out with him and a bunch of friends at the east coast convention in 2004, everyone loved ‘East Coast Anthony’. When he was at Metro Anthony use to fly out to LA and do collections for Metro and always got the money he was sent to collect, but in a really nice way. Never heard anyone say a bad word about Anthony at all and at all the events and parties where I’ve bumped into him, he’s always been a personable guy and well liked. Everytime I’ve seen him in LA he was hanging out with Kelly Erickson and Shy Love and her husband.
I’ve never met Keith OConner, according to Simone he never goes to events or parties. Outside of dating Taylor Rain, seems he’s always been invisible except for the much publicized one eared mug shot. I didn’t even know he ran production at Metro until I read Luke’s posting. It seems his name was never mentioned anywhere on the net until he started dating Rain and since then it’s all been bashing, and that doesn’t say much since anyone attached to Rain ends up being clobbered here.
I’ve never met Ron Levi, but anyone who’s watched the boards over the years knows the name.
Norman Bentley is a pure snake. I met Norman through his ex-wife, Robbye, years ago when Norman was still trying to do mainstream work and I never liked him, ever. Norman is the one who sold out all the adult webmasters to Acacia to save his own ass. Norman was the least involved in Matrix, Robbye did all the work, but Norman has always taken all the credit and eventually forced all his partners out to take over Matrix.
Where there is smoke, there is fire. And if Norman Bentley is involved I am willing to bet there’s more to this story. Bentley has a history of being a total liar and cheating his partners, just ask Robbye. Norman and company claim Simone and OConner were only employees of Defiance so any handling of checks or endorsing checks was inappropriate. But seems Simone and OConner were more than employees, seems they claim to be 50% partners in the company, which makes sense if it’s true they conceived it as Luke says months before it was incorporated by Norman and company and if it’s true that they laid out money from their own pocket to pay for Defiance stuff. I mean logically, how is it stealing if you put $10 in the register and then took out $7 later. If they were equal partners in the company then they had decision making power and authority to make decisions.
If they were only employees then they were the stupidest pair on earth for putting in, allegedly, $30,000 to $70,000 of their own money. And I know Simone is not a dummy. If you read Luke’s posting carefully you can begin to see the crack. First, before any lawsuit came into play Norman TOLD Luke that he, Simone and OConner were partners in Defiance and the company was funded by Levi. After being hit with the lawsuit the story quickly changed.
In their case against Metro, Bentley and company claim that Levi’s girlfriend is the only owner of the company. This would explain why they are alleging Simone and OConner are employees and taking this position so strongly against them, because to admit they are 50% partners and had the authority to make any decision necessary to run the company would be an admission that they have lied in their court case with Metro and open up a huge pandoras box of liability for Norman and company.
