from www.nypost.com – He tangoed with the wrong woman.
A big-shot bond trader is being sued for $20 million after allegedly grabbing a 27-year-old clerk for an unsolicited dirty dance across his company’s trading floor near the New York Stock Exchange.
The odd incident occurred just before 5 p.m. on Jan. 6 after Marcus Bolton, 45, who heads up the US division of the London-based firm Tullett Prebon, turned up at its Pine Street office, according to the lawsuit, detailed yesterday in Britain’s Daily Mail.
Administrative clerk Jessica Franqui [pictured], of Staten Island, claims that she was the sole woman on the office trading floor when the allegedly drunk Bolton grabbed her and began dancing the tango, pulling her body toward him against her will, according to the Manhattan Supreme Court suit.
When Franqui tried to struggle free, Bolton let go of her, causing her to land on her back, according to the court papers.
Bolton then pinned her to the floor by stepping “directly and heavily onto [Franqui’s] right breast,” the lawsuit claims.
“I can’t believe you were standing on my chest,” Franqui says she told Bolton, to which he allegedly replied, “It’s all right. They [your breasts] are big, and you probably didn’t even feel it.”
Bolton — who is married with children — was suspended but is now back at his New York job, said a Tullett Prebon rep.
A spokesman for the firm said in a statement, “We do not take Ms. Franqui’s allegations at all lightly,” but took issue with her $20 million claim.
