Another example of how the mainstream really is tolerant and accepting of porn.
Arizona- from www.yumasun.com – A local cheerleading coach is reported to have had a porn star past by a national publication.
Natasha Bradshaw Herzig, a cheerleading coach at Gila Ridge High School, has been identified as adult movie star Tiffany Price in the Oct. 11 issue of the National Enquirer.
Herzig declined to comment on the record to the Yuma Sun, despite multiple phone and e-mail requests for comment. She has had two off-the-record conversations with the Yuma Sun since August.
Herzig led Gila Ridge High School’s cheerleading squad to the state championship last year.
According to the Enquirer, from 2006-2008, Herzig had a career as an X-rated actress with the stage name Tiffany Price, appearing in 28 films.
The Enquirer reported Herzig told the publication, “I don’t understand why it’s such a big deal. I haven’t done anything wrong or illegal. I don’t understand why anyone would care what I did years ago.”
According to the Enquirer, Herzig has been placed on administrative leave while school officials investigate.
However, school officials would not comment to the Yuma Sun on that issue.
“Because it’s a personnel issue, I’m not at liberty to discuss that. I will just verify that she is currently employed by us,” said Yuma Union High School District Superintendent Toni Badone.
She reiterated that she has explained to parents numerous times that the Human Resources Department at YUHSD has a hiring process that includes fingerprinting and being approved by the Department of Public Safety. Any violators of those categories will not be hired.
“Normally I say no comment, but I want to make sure that you understand two things,” Badone said in an interview with the Yuma Sun. “No. 1, we have a process, we go through fingerprinting … No, 2, to my knowledge, Mrs. Herzig has not done anything illegal or anything that violates the laws of Arizona with regards to being a teacher or coach.”
According to the Enquirer, Herzig called the parents of the cheer team together in August and told the parents of her past.
The Yuma Sun was told by various people off the record that such a meeting took place but could not officially confirm it.
The Enquirer story quoted an unnamed Gila Ridge parent: “She claimed she had been abducted by a sex trafficking ring after high school and forced to do porn, but it’s all lies. The timeline is all wrong.”
The Yuma Sun also received inquiries from TV’s “Inside Edition” about this story.
A spokesman with TV’s “America’s Most Wanted” told the Yuma Sun in August that Herzig will be part of an upcoming episode.
“We are working with Natasha Bradshaw Herzig on an upcoming story. The segment(s) will air in November, but we are not certain of the date yet,” said Avery Mann, a spokesman with the show.
