Kentucky – from www.courier-journal.com – During the National Farm Machinery Show last week, The Godfather strip club claims competitor Trixie’s Lounge scrolled a defamatory message about its girls on a large electronic display.

Pictures of the message — which claimed the girls were unattractive, among other things — soon ended up on social media websites like Facebook, causing “negative and derogatory comments” about The Godfather, according to the suit filed Wednesday in Jefferson Circuit Court,

The suit names Trixie’s as well as the attached Knockout Sports Saloon.

The Godfather and Trixie’s are a little over a mile apart on Preston Highway.

The lawsuit claims the message is false and defamatory and was made public “with malice and intent to cause damage” to The Godfather’s business.

The suit alleges the club has suffered injury to its reputation and been exposed to “public hatred, contempt, scorn” and shame.

Claims made in filing a lawsuit present only one side of the case.

No one at Trixie’s could be immediately reached for comment.

The suit is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
