Nicole London makes the following statement on behalf of her company, Outback Productions LLC: We at Outback Productions, LLC have canceled all upcoming productions, we are adhering to a voluntary two-month moratorium. We will also extend this until the situation is safe, for all performers. I have also made our company policy to be condom only indefinitely. This is about lives, not finance, I would hope that all companies do the same, and that talent not take any work until it is safe for everyone.
Gene sez: When I spoke to London yesterday I brought up the fact that she was in the original “dirty half dozen” of porn stars that were quarantined over tens years ago when an HIV scare broke out. What was it like when you were on quarantine.
London: It was scary. But then we were a lot less educated then than we are now. And we didn’t have the PCR test. It wasn’t a 30 or 60-day quarantine. It was six months. The girls were lucky because we could go anywhere to dance. In a way it was a blessing that it happened to me. I hate to say it that way. But if it were not for Marci over at Vivid or Toni English putting me on set and teaching me to AD, I wouldn’t have gone into a career-thing and I wouldn’t be owning my own company now.
The performers that are on quarantine right now, it’s going to give them the opportunity and open doors for them, whether they choose to go with it and accept it, and take it. This is something that can bring them income for years. If you get behind the camera there’s a lot of work out there. This industry is filled with a lot of good people. And if anyone needs help, let me know. I know what it’s like.
