New Jersey- A beauty queen has found herself in trouble with police and the U.S. Secret Service.
Miss North Wildwood 2007 Ashley Fuhrmeister [pictured] is accused of using counterfeit cash, police said.
According to police, the 21-year-old and her mother, 44-year-old Kelly A. Nowacky, made their own $50 bills and used them to make purchases at a Wawa on the 300 block of New Jersey Avenue and a Wildwood store that was not identified.
A third suspect, John Laughlin, of Belleplain, was also charged, North Wildwood police announced Tuesday.
Fuhrmeister was arrested Friday, charged and released on her own recognizance. Nowacky and Laughlin were both sent to the Cape May County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.
