STAUNTON, Virginia — Police arrested a Stuarts Draft man Friday amid allegations he filmed a Robert E. Lee High School student while she performed oral sex on him at a Staunton auto shop.
Wayne E. Gill, 39, is charged with soliciting a minor for child pornography and a misdemeanor charge of prostitution, Staunton police said.
According to a search warrant, a 17-year-old girl was approached in early February at Lee High by an unidentified male, where she was told she needed to pay off drug debts or face injury. The girl then spoke to a second boy, a 17-year-old classmate, about the threat.
“He showed her a wad of bills and told her there was a way to make money,” the search warrant stated.
On Thursday, the boy and the girl met at Gill’s Auto Repair on Richmond Avenue, where she was introduced to Gill, the search warrant said.
While at the auto shop, Gill reportedly was told the girl was only 17. “Wayne told her that he didn’t want to hear that, and that she was 18,” police wrote in the search warrant.
The girl was filmed by both her companion and Gill, the search warrant said, as she performed oral sex.
Gill is said to have paid the girl $300 and offered to become her pimp. “He told her she would need to be punished because he was the punisher,” the search warrant said.
The allegations came to light after a school resource officer was told about the incident, police said. Based on information contained in the search warrant, Gill is a manager at the store. Police said his brother is the owner.
According to the search warrant, the business contains a “video room.” On Friday, Staunton police seized 73 pornographic VHS tapes and DVDs. Several computers, a sex toy, digital recorders and a blow-up doll also were confiscated.
Authorities arrested Gill at the Staunton Police Department after he was questioned about the allegations. He is free on bond.
Staunton police spokeswoman Officer Lisa Klein said additional charges in the case could be forthcoming, and said the investigation continues.
