Pornhub has officially launched its new "Collaborators" system, a tagging feature designed to streamline consent verification for verified models appearing in creator content. This new system allows verified creators to send and receive collaboration requests, simplifying the process of tagging co-performers in videos.

Collaborators System Overview

The "Collaborators" system, unveiled by Pornhub, sends consent verification requests to verified creators featured in video content. XBIZ reported on the announcement of Collaborators earlier this month. The system enables creators to send and receive collaboration requests from other verified creators on the platform. Once creators opt into this feature and accept a collaboration request, it allows them to tag the other creator in their Pornhub content. Pornhub announced this via X.com on Tuesday.

Alex Kekesi, Head of Brand and Community at Pornhub, stated to XBIZ that a top priority for Pornhub is to provide a platform where performers can confidently and safely share their work. Kekesi described the launch of Collaborators as a significant step in the ongoing commitment to evaluate and enhance verification processes, aiming to ensure that both the internet and the platform remain secure spaces. Kekesi also expressed appreciation for the patience of models during the tool's rollout and excitement to support their continued success with this new feature.

To utilize the tagging and performer verification features, creators must opt into Collaborators and accept collaboration requests from other verified creators on the platform. Practical instructions for the new system are available in the X.com thread announcing Collaborators. A full post with detailed information is also available on the Pornhub Blog. The system is described as offering a streamlined experience, aligning with processes found on other content monetization platforms, and providing increased visibility.

The Collaborators system is officially live on Pornhub and accessible to all verified Models. It is described as a new tagging feature that facilitates sending and receiving Collaboration requests from other Models who have opted into Collaborators and appear in past or future content, making it easier to confirm their consent. The system is presented as quick, easy, and offering increased visibility.

Benefits and Functionality for Models

Models who choose to opt into Collaborators can benefit from expanding their network and experiencing a streamlined process for faster performer verification. Additionally, they can gain increased visibility when tagged in content, as their profile link will appear under the video player. The first step for models is to opt into the Collaborators feature and confirm their request settings. This action is necessary to use the new feature and to be discoverable when others search for their stage name. Models who do not opt in will not be able to send or receive Collaboration requests.

To opt in, models can log into their account and click the orange "Opt In" button located in the Collaborators tab within their Core Settings. This tab is situated next to the Co-Performers tab. After opting into Collaborators, models can choose how to manage their incoming Collaboration requests. Collaborators will default to "manually accept requests" as an option upon enrollment, though an automatic acceptance setting is also available to expedite the tagging process. Pornhub's moderation team will verify that all models are correctly tagged. Documentation regarding the program is accessible through the Pornhub Help Center.

AVN previously reported on the announcement, noting it as a step forward for consent and content creator verification. New policies include a requirement to upload a release form for all co-performers who do not already have one on file, or to complete the verification process using a digitally applied eSignature. Missing identification and proof of consent can lead to delays in new video releases and may impact monthly payouts. In January 2024, Pornhub also made it a requirement for both performers to submit identification.
