I imagined that selling adult movies is a bit different from selling books. “It’s a lot different,” Rose agrees. “It’s a different kind of product, but it’s all the same in regards to sales. I’ve just got to learn and go from there.”

Rose, who’s originally from Denver, wanted to make a change and move to L.A. From what I gather in our conversation, Rose saw Elegant Angel advertised on the Internet and basically talked his way into a job.

“It’s all working out pretty well,” he says. “We’re moving in a good direction.” Rose admits he’s still in his learning phase. “We’ve got this great machine and we’re going to utilize more of the mainstream in regards to the Internet,” he says. “I tell Rose he’s coming in during interesting times especially with VOD taking such a hit with the new 2257 regs. “Exactly,” says Rose. “It’s going to be interesting to see how this unfolds. But with change, change is a good thing. But you’ve got to accept it and move forward.”

Not to put Rose in too delicate of a situation I approach him about the rumors of an Elegant Angel sale. “I’m sure like anything else, it’s pretty much all just rumors,” he says and leaves it at that. Asked to address some immediate objectives, Rose says his main thing now is learning from people around him. “I want to see what they’ve done so I don’t have to come in and reinvent the wheel when not necessary. Things have been going good here so far, and I just want to keep it running smooth.”
