Wilmington, NC- Quick. Google cop Ralph Evangelous’ name and see if he’s connected in any way with the Christian Coalition. Frank Palombo, the police chief in New Bern, Carolina is, and Palombo headed up the raids on store owner Greg Sakas’ Pure Bliss operation which eventually prompted a lawsuit against the city of New Bern and Sakas having to go court to defend himself on trumped up misdemeanor charges.

Sakas won the case, but, as in most obscenity wins, it was a Pyrrhic victory in which the lawyers win but your bank account loses. Now Sakas is in the same fight all over again. This time the beach head is located in Wilmington, North Carolina where his Intimate Bliss store has been the scene all week of police activity.

Police chief Ralph Evangelous, a Barney Fife lookalike, is heading up this lab rat experiment to prove that the city of Wilmington needs no cops on duty other than those stationed to examine adult movies and ladies lingerie in Sakas’ store.

A Wilmington public official speaking on the condition of anonymity says that Evangelous is spearheading the investigation. What are Evangelous’ motives? We know what Palombo’s were. He wants to get elected to political office so he can wear suits and get drunk with big assed secretaries in the state building. But Paombo can only do that by being a Christian Coalition lackey.

Evangelous? Only time will answer that question.
