Calling XBiz the “3,000 pound gorilla in the room,” Rob Black on his radio show Thursday said he’s so far left them out of the argument for hard hitting porn journalism. Black has been very critical of “Anwar AVN” for its industry propaganda.

“I’ve left XBiz out of the mix for awhile because I like the guy who runs the magazine, and I like Dan Miller a little Chinese guy. I never had a bad experience with him. He’s an Asian something so, inherently, that’s someone who’s submissive and doesn’t want to rock the boat or be a douchebag.”

“Nelson X is what he is. He’s totally friendly. Nelson tells me here’s a heads up. Bob Johnson- all these guys are very noncommital. It’s owned by a guy named Alec Helmy.”

Black said he’s not sure where Helmy stands on anything.

“They were going to be the Internet alternative to AVN. Helmy had no ties to Russ Hampshire or Steve Hirsch. He was going to be that alternative. XBiz evolved the same way as AVN, as somebody that puts press releases up and has no regard to do any journalistic workings whatsoever.”

Black said what intrigues him about XBiz is that it goes after a different segment of the adult audience than DVDs: the toys, novelties and Internet.

“That is their beat. That’s their money. That’s their constituency. I don’t get it, though – if Helmy’s base has nothing to do with the business why don’t they step up and be that real alternative? I don’t know if they’re owned by Manwin. Now you see that AVN is basically Manwin. Anything you get from awards on down means nothing because it’s owned, bought and paid for by Manwin. “All you talent out there, the veil has been unveiled. AVN was a good run, but the award show now is shit. They are nothing. They are owned by Manwin. Raul Christian and the Manwin boys finally revealed they’re owned by Manwin.”

Consequently, Black said he was rejecting the Hall of Fame award he got from AVN.

“You got a Hall of Fame award? Wipe your ass with it,” Black advised the industry.

Black said anyone who got a Hall of Fame award from the time Manwin took over, that award became a “piece of shit.”

“I renounce my Hall of Fame. I want you to remove me from the history books of AVN. I want nothing to do with a terrorist regime. Take your awards and shove them up your ass. Wipe your ass with the award you gave Birds of Prey. You are a terrorist organization and a propaganda tool. Take my name out of the history book and remove me from the Hall of Fame. I’m so glad you never put my wife in the Hall of Fame.

“Take that award stick in Theo’s ass, pull it out of his mouth and shove it in Raul Christian’s ass. I ban YOU, how’s that? Ten years ago Paul Fishbein and AVN banned Rob Black now I ban AVN, you terrorists.”

Black said XBiz and Helmy have the opportunity “to take this business and have a voice.”

“You’re only a slave to the toy people. You actually could have a voice, an award show that matters; a reviewing system that matters because you don’t have Vivid calling you saying they’re going to pull their 17 ads. You have ads from Nick Orlandino, from Topco. I think Nick is a pretty rational guy. I see ads for people that have nothing to do with the agencies. You have a magazine where the money stream has nothing to do what we’re all fighting about- the mind, heart, and bodies of the talent.”

Black assumed that Frank Koretsky might pose as a stumbling block for an industry publication to have a clear conscience.

“But as the only real trade tool Koretsky needs, he needs you more than you need him. He needs you to review his whipped cream dispensers with Tom Byron’s artwork. You have the opportunity to go ‘We’re not a slave to Manwin.’

“Fuck Manwin. Manwin is a giant, but I got to think people in the Internet community aren’t in bed with them. Helmy, are you that much of a hooker? A whore? You could have a great awards show, but it shows you don’t give shit about the video side. Be a political force.

“Why does it take an uneducated guy like me to say, Alec, you have the voice; you can take the bull by the horns. You can be a force. You can be the person that forms a new trade group, a new Free Speech group instead of being a panderer for that group.

“You have a chance to defect and put down your weapons and join the resistance. Please, if you are not in bed with Manwin, you do not need this.”

Black predicted there will be another trade magazine/web site starting up.

“It’ll be like AVN 30 years ago. A little fanzine. Trust me, Alec, if you do not defect, another organization will start. All it would take is for someone to be in that mind set and get these companies organized.

“Our business are all fucking whores. Alec, trust me it was exposed that Manwin owns AVN. You have a chance to be the leader. Dump the Free Speech Coalition. Dump the political ties. Let’s talk.

“Alec Helmy, I’m begging you. I can lay out a plan for you where you can be the voice. If you are not owned by Manwin you can do this. AVN is a propaganda tool.”
