Las Vegas- Sentencing has been postponed again for former Las Vegas strip club mogul Rick Rizzolo [pictured center]. The 47-year-old former owner of the Crazy Horse Too is expected to face up to 16 months in federal prison after pleading guilty last June to felony tax evasion.
Federal Judge Philip Pro cited evidence submitted under seal that sentencing should be delayed once more to next Tuesday.
The delay will let a lawyer for Rizzolo appear Wednesday before the Las Vegas City Council. The city’s reviewing the license for leaseholder Michael Signorelli, who’s been operating the club just off the Las Vegas Strip.
In pleading guilty to conspiracy to defraud the government, Rizzolo agreed to sell the club and not contest millions of dollars in fines, forfeitures and restitution.
The club pleaded guilty as a corporate entity to racketeering and will bear the brunt of the penalties. 16 current and former club employees also pleaded guilty. Their sentencings are scheduled to follow Rizzolo’s.
