September 6th: Larry Flynt’s Hustler Hollywood store opens in Uptown

Uptown Minneapolis, Minnesota – from www.bizjournals.com – Larry Flynt’s sex-oriented retail store Hustler Hollywood is open in Uptown just five weeks after the neighborhood learned that the chain planned on moving in.

The Southwest Journal reports that the location is open even though merchandise is still arriving and the store’s layout is still a work in progress.

The goods that are there now include clothing, Hustler pint glasses, sex board game and Larry Flynt books. Oh, and there’s also pornographic materials.

Uptown residents were upset last month to learn that Flynt planned on opening his 12th Hustler Hollywood in their neighborhood. But there’s not much they can do as long as only 15 percent of the store’s floor space is devoted to sexually explicit materials, the newspaper reported.

The store’s grand opening is planned for Sept. 6.
