Vibe Expo’s second day in Hollywood, California, featured workshops led by sexual wellness experts, drawing large crowds to sessions on various topics including sexual health, intimacy, and product use. Exhibitors showcased new products and engaged with both consumers and industry professionals.

Educational Workshops and Expert Insights

Day 2 of Vibe Expo, held at the Loews Hollywood Hotel, saw attendees fill workshop rooms for sessions led by experts such as Netflix star Melanie Rose and sex-positive social media influencer Dr. Tara. The event, part of the first annual “Pleasure Show,” included workshops on "Sex After 50" and "Dick Riding 101."

Dr. Tara’s "Have an Orgasmic Day!" workshop reached standing-room-only capacity. She discussed the benefits of playfulness, noting that surveys indicate high marital satisfaction among individuals who identify as "playful adults." Dr. Tara also encouraged daily pleasure-seeking activities, including masturbation, and guided attendees through a 20-second sexual meditation. She suggested incorporating sexual affirmations into meditations, such as "I will have an orgasmic day!" and led a moaning exercise that could be integrated into daily routines.

Melanie Rose, host of the Netflix show “How to Build a Sex Room,” led a workshop that drew attendees who stood outside the doors to observe. Rose brought a bookshelf on stage to display decor items that offer both sensual visual appeal and functionality. She emphasized that all elements in a room should enhance sensuality, explaining how colors and scents contribute to a pleasure-conducive environment. Rose advised against stereotypes, suggesting blues or purples for a sex room instead of a "Fifty Shades of Grey"-style red room. She also recommended sensual music for ambiance and soundproof walls for screamers, highlighting the importance of small details like the feel of silk sheets.

April Lampert and Amy Baldwin of Shameless Sex hosted the "Oral for All" experiential workshop, which attracted a large audience, with many attendees sitting on the floor. Lampert noted that a highlight was demonstrating the "Slurpy Stick Shift" oral sex technique using a rainbow dildo, with Baldwin participating in the presentation.

Licensed therapist Dr. Jeannelle Perkins-Muhammad showcased her book "Into-Me-See" and a related game. She explained that cognitive, emotional, and spiritual dimensions intensify the physical aspect of relationships, and she has educated people for over 20 years on how mental health impacts relationships. Dr. Perkins-Muhammad also offers a Kama Sutra card subscription, providing four cards monthly to encourage intimacy and connection. She described "Into-Me-See" as focusing on pleasure over performance, with hopes for B2B adoption of the game.

The "Faded & Frisky" cooking class, led by Necole Hines of Faded Living, was the final experiential workshop. It taught attendees how to prepare two aphrodisiac- and CBD-infused recipes. Hines, who is of Jamaican-Canadian descent, discussed her mission to normalize cooking with cannabis and challenge associated stereotypes. She emphasized consuming enough cannabis to reach a "chill" state and highlighted the affordability and ease of preparation of her recipes. Hines noted that common grocery store ingredients like garlic and parsley are aphrodisiacs, and that preparing a meal together can foster intimacy. She prepared a Caesar drink, similar to a Bloody Mary, with Clamato and CBD-infused garlic salt on the rim. Hines also provided tips for reducing a THC high, such as sniffing or chewing black peppercorn, and noted that CBD can cut a high within approximately 20 minutes.

Exhibitor Highlights and Product Showcases

On the expo show floor, several brands presented their products and engaged with attendees.

Honey Play Box

Honey Play Box’s booth was prominently located near the entrance. Lauren, who staffed the booth, stated that the brand’s most popular items at the event were the Scioness Sucking and Licking Clitoral Stimulator and the Jesslyn Tapping Clit Stimulator G-Spot Vibrator. Lauren described Honey Play Box as a woman-owned brand focused on educating customers about sexual wellness. She noted that the brand aims to ease new users into sex toys with recommendations, guided by a philosophy of letting authentic desires shape sexual experiences. The mission is to make pleasure enjoyable and accessible through affordable, body-safe, and versatile toys for diverse desires. Lauren reported that many attendees sought recommendations for first-time toy users, and she frequently suggested oral toys for females. The brand sold out of several couples toys and nearly ran out of the Stormi wand. In addition to usage tips, Lauren also emphasized proper cleaning and sanitization of toys.

Aneros

Aneros participated in Vibe Expo to connect with clients and consumers, taking an educational approach. Malay Vannouvong of Aneros observed that people were interested and curious about available sex toys, including couples looking for items to incorporate into their bedrooms. Vannouvong noted that most non-industry attendees at their booth were familiar with Aneros products, and many sexual wellness professionals recommended their products. Brent Aldon, Aneros Director of Sales and Marketing, added that consumers were interested in learning about prostate play and were not intimidated or ashamed to explore it.

Personal Fav

Personal Fav, exhibiting for the first time, showcased its lubricant and CBD-infused Pique pleasure oil. Co-founder Stephanie Elias reported strong sales and productive conversations with consumers, retailers, and distributors. Elias offered samples of Pique, highlighting that the oil contains 30 milligrams of full-spectrum CBD and other natural aphrodisiacs and ingredients that stimulate blood flow. She also demonstrated its benefits as a hand moisturizer, noting improvements in cuticles and eczema, attributing these effects to CBD’s hydrating and anti-inflammatory properties.

Eden Novelties

Eden Novelties displayed a selection of dildos. Jassmine Cudney of Eden Novelties stated that the OTouch locking male stroker was typically their most popular product. She described it as fully automatic, hands-free, and effective as a VR accessory. The locking feature also provides discretion. Cudney noted that thrusters were also popular for the Canada-based company, which plans increased marketing to expand its B2B reach.
