from www.dailymail.co.uk – More than 40 years after she rode naked on a white horse around Soho to promote the re-opening of her lover Paul Raymond’s Windmill Theatre, Fiona Richmond [pictured] will be more modestly attired when she goes to see a new film about the King of Soho.
Vicar’s daughter Fiona, 67 and now living under a different name, will not earn a penny from Michael Winterbottom’s The Look Of Love, which opens next week.
And she does not approve of the cinematic intrusion into her life.
‘I don’t welcome it and I am not endorsing the picture,’ she tells me. ‘I am not making any money out of it and I have not been asked for my approval. It was all a long time ago and I have a different life now.’
The former soft-porn star describes her portrayal by beautiful Tamsin Egerton (pictured) as ‘weird’. ‘I don’t know why I am being played by a 6 ft 2 actress. No matter what I do or say they won’t get it right,’ she sighs.
Fiona now lives quietly as Julia Montgomery (she was christened Julia and Montgomery is the surname of her ex-husband, TV presenter James Montgomery).
She winters at her Petit Bacaye Cottage Hotel, on the Caribbean island of Grenada, and spends the rest of the year in Hampshire, where she owns the Onion Store Hotel in Romsey.
Fiona was just 25 when Raymond — then 45 and married — fell in love with her after she auditioned in 1970 as one of the naked swimmers at the millionaire strip club owner’s iconic Windmill Theatre.
Raymond invented her name, set up home with her and divorced Jean Bradley in 1974 — she was awarded £250,000, at that time the highest divorce settlement ever paid.
Fiona became a roving reporter for his magazine Men Only and starred at the Windmill in Pyjama Tops and with the late John Inman in Let’s Get Laid.
But she later revealed: ‘I wasn’t really promiscuous. I only pretended to be.’
By 1976 there were cracks in their relationship and Raymond’s roving eye latched on to her successor, dancer Diana Cochran.
But the split was amicable and Fiona (Julia) still maintains strong links with Raymond’s son, Howard.
