from www.wkbt.com – An 18-year-old Wisconsin man is facing more than a dozen charges for allegedly trying to entice young female victims over the internet.
The state-wide investigation broke after a 13-year-old victim came forward in Black River Falls.
Aaron Zenke, of Thiensville, has been charged with more than a dozen felony counts for allegedly targeting young females on the internet.
Investigators say Zenke would solicit provocative pictures from his victims, and then use those photos to threaten them to send more graphic photos.
“Threatened that if he didn’t get the nude photos from her, he was going to send the original photo back to her family and they would find out what she was doing,” said Capt. Tim Nichols, with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.
Nichols said Zenke was meeting the girls on an internet filesharing website called iMesh.
“The suspect would get the initial photo and then ask for more graphic photos. In our case, our victims didn’t necessarily want to send photos. he then gave her the option to call him and then say explicit things over the phone,” said Nichols.
When the 13-year-old girl from Black River Falls didn’t meet Zenke’s demands, police say he followed through with his threat to send the original picture back to her family.
That’s when they notified investigators.
It led to a search of Zenke’s parents’ home in Thiensville, near Milwaukee. A search of his computer, turned up photos of more possible victims.
“He had photos of girls from all over. Some of them may have been from other countries, other parts of the United States,” said Nichols.
Authorities have identified two victims from Wisconsin.
All told, Zenke is facing 15 felony charges in two counties, including child enticement, using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, child sexploitation, and possession of child pornography.
