PASADENA, Calif. — The man who allegedly murdered adult entertainment model Felicia Lee aka Felicia Tang finally goes to trial in Pasadena Superior Court, June 3rd.
Brian Randone, Lee’s live-in boyfriend, is accused of torturing, suffocating and murdering 31-year-old Tang, his live-in girlfriend at the time, inside the couple’s Monrovia apartment on Sept. 11, 2009.
What held up the proceedings is the fact that Randone’s defense attorney was going through chemotherapy but the illness has taken a turn for the worse, Philip Wojdak, a Los Angeles County deputy district attorney, told www.xbiz.com this week. A new attorney for Mark Overland was substituted this week.
Randone has been held for more than a year and a half in lieu of $2 million bail at the Twin Towers jail in downtown Los Angeles.
Wojdak said that there were “innumerable injuries to Ms. Tang’s body” caused by an unknown weapon. Bruising on Tang’s body led investigators to believe she was suffocated against a hard surface, without a weapon.
Los Angeles County Medical Examiner Dr. Ajay Panchal who performed an autopsy on Lee said she had died from smothering, blunt trauma, GHB intoxication and the effects of cocaine.
Panchal identified abrasions on Lee’s forehead, nose and chin as evidence her face was pressed onto something before her death. Cuts on the inside of Lee’s lips served as further proof that she had been smothered, Panchal testified.
Randone’s defense all along has been that Lee died from a drug overdose.
Born in Singapore, Lee/Tang starred in several Playboy TV shows, “Naked Sports,” “7 Lives Exposed” and “Buckwild,” among others. She also appeared in several Peach DVD movies, including “Asian Fever” and “Hotel Decadence,” and she starred in the pay-per-view series “Strip Poker Tournament.” She also owned FeliciaTang.com
Randone, an Omaha, Neb., native, is a former minister and mime who was featured on a 2000 Fox reality show “The Sexiest Bachelor in America.”
