A Steve French “donley punch” thread began on ADT in March and continues. Here are some excerpts.
> loop starts it off: first of all i want to make it clear that in general i have nothing against rough sex (choking , slapping , maxhardcore , meatholes , jm , etc) as long as both sides are willing to do it .
as to steven french , i never liked seeing him perform , i just hated the way he treats the girls but that’s just me. but after i read this post of alex devine in the extremegirlforum it really pissed me off and i thought others should know about it.
here’s what she wrote –
Ok, I am finally going to reply to this…. DONKEY PUNCH was the most brutal, depressing, scarey scene that I have ever done. I have tried to block it out from my memory due to the severe abuse I recieved during the filming. I had been made to believe that the scene was going to be more sex, penetration, and rough as opposed to being ‘beat up’ with a few penetrations. The guy, Steve French has a natural hatred towards women in the sense that he has always been known to be more brutal than EVER needed. I agreed to do the scene thinking it was less beating, except the ‘punch’ in the head. If you noticed, steve had worn his solid gold ring the entire time, and continued to punch me with it. I actually stopped the scene while it was being filmed because I was in too much pain. I begged for him to remove the ring but he refused. That almost made me walk off the set and say ‘fuck it’. I sucked it up and wanted to finish so i would be paid. Witht he ring on his hand still, we continued the scene.
**Now i am not sure how much you all know about me, but I have had some major surgeries on my head. One was on the lower back right of my skull…. The doctor never replaced the bone there because it grows back on its own. It had been several years since that surgery, and i now have grown a strong cartilage in place of my missing bone.
I had specifically explained that Steve could not hit that spot, and that anywhere else on my head was fine. I explained this to him as well, showing him on my head the places. He acknowledged the request of mine.As the pop happened he punched me several times in the head. Exactly where he was told not to. He did it with the ring on too.
*you can hear me scream in pain ‘wrong side! ow, ow, wrong side!’ in the movie and trailer.I had to re-do the pop shot/donkey punch for ‘better footage’ while in pain, and he wore the damn ring again.
At the end of my scene they had me sit on the couch with the directors and explain that I was ok and was willing to do the scene. I was in tears
I sincerely hope that no one enjoys that scene. I want to cry when I think about it.
>picman writes: How about throwing the director in there with him for allowing the brutality to continue. And the producer too, for thinking of such a concept. This is not rough sex delivered in the heat of passion. Just a calculated assault. Some people have no shame.
> PL writes: Personally I don’t want to see this kind of porn, so I don’t watch it. Should I sit here and bash it… That’s debatable. But the way I see it, there was one key phrase in here – “I sucked it up and wanted to finish so i would be paid.”
Crazy me, if I would have had surgery on my head , I wouldn’t have agreed to be in a movie where there was going to be punches thrown at it .
I’m not defending anyone here, I’m just saying this from how I see it. I even asked my wife about it (she read the post) and she agreed with my assessment. Ah well, what can you do?
Regardless, I wish both Steve and Alex Devine the best, I have nothing against either of them. Neither has done anything to me personally and this is “hear-say”. This kind of reminds me of that “Erik Everhard raped Corina Davis/Taylor” thread….
>Len Nicodemo writes: I remember seeing this guy with Jersey Jaxin in Cum Drippers #8 , and it was very obvious that Jersey didn’t like him one bit. Jersey is one of my favorites, and this French guy ruined the scene.
> piercedpixie1 writes: personally i would rather walk away with nothing and not let the director and other talent working on there make money off of a scene i had found disturbing…surely just knowing other people are watching this and getting off on it, would be enough to just walk away if you hated it so much?
On the other hand i havent been in that situation so who really knows what i would do. It doesn’t sit quite right with me though, that even though she agreed to go through with it, she was not enjoying it, and yet the ring never came off…compromise? just doesn’t seem nice, but then you can’t jail people for not being nice apparently.
oh well…i am off to find something less serious to read now !
> derek 117 writes: As a watcher of porn/porn industry for many years, I can attest that there have always been people–male & females–in the porn industry (directors, producers, performers) who like to see/participate in abusing women on a porn set. They have existed since the days before porn went video, and became REALLY cheap to make–and opened the doors to more productions, and more abusers. The fact that fans continue to buy “rough sex” videos (in part) allows these haters to continue to practice their trade. Bottom line: if Steven French is an abuser, he’s not alone.
Also, as the Alex Devine post suggests, many female performers are afraid of walking off sets…they’ll get labeled as “flakes,” druggies, divas, etc. The rare exception is Janine who walked off the set of her (Vivid) shoot with Rocco, when he disrepected her–too rough sex and deliberately torn condom. Of course, soon afterwards, she and Vivid could not “reach agreement” on a new contract.
Also, I recall an instance about eight years ago when a performer (Rachel something) threatened to sue Anabolic because of the physical punching/beating she took on their set. The threat of a lawsuit “went away”–and so did the girl. She never worked in porn again.
Both incidents suggest the high price a female performer will pay for standing up for her rights NOT to be abused or get beat up on a porn set!
> Kaylan Nicole fan writes: It has always been a complete mystery to me why these things get done to these beautiful girls in the business. I mean, many of them look like a goddess, an angel ! They should be adored by the guys , considering their beauty and the fact, that many of us guys will never get the chance to get intimate with them !Some hairpulling or something is O.K. if the girl likes it too .
But many things simply go too far !! There should always be someone with the stature of a L.A. or New York City police officer for the girls safety on the set, to protect them from these guys. If the girls get treated bad, so they could get the guy straight off from the set.
But the producers also should stop guys from doing that shit. Even if the scene has to be stoped. The next thing is: Do producers really think that it makes the scene or the girl’s acting better, if the girls have to do things they are forced to do ? The whole thing will affect bad on the scene. I don’t get it !
>PL writes:From original post – “I agreed to do the scene thinking it was less beating, except the ‘punch’ in the head.”
That tells me she knew there was going to be physical sex. Is physical (rough) sex mistreatment? Depends on the girl and her limits I guess.
As for her walking out on the set… I agree with piercedpixie1. And I agree it’s a tough call, but you ultimately make a decision – either I leave with my limits not passed OR stay and hope things don’t go too much further so I can get my money.
Two of the most corruptive things is money and power. Porn is about both, some just handle all aspects better than other.
And for what it’s worth, I agree with lukemason here, I would NEVER hit a woman in anger or what ever. Now if she liked to be slapped and choked in bed, well I don’t see that as hitting…. Maybe I’m crazy, but I know I was brought up not to hit women and I don’t – well not in that context
>zyathon writes: Got to say this. I don’t give a fuck about a contract, if some wee tit of a guy is going to punch a babe i bet it doesn’t say that in the contract so she or anyone else can walk and they can do nowt not least because of the repercussons of it being made more widely public so more people actually know what is happening.
Loads of other babes would back the babe and no doubt many guys would too within the industry.
Take a stand and kick this shite to fuck forever. These guys set the standards for why porn has become more ‘accepted’ by many previously closed shop people. What nobody needs is a bad advert like this.
Rape, whether real or fantasy, is unacceptable in terms of viewing content in most countries and there is very little difference between this shite and that.
Take some responsiblity and get this kind of ‘material’ to fuck.
> Melissa Lauren writes:allright here are my 2 cents. i know Steven, have worked several times with him, and never had a problem. very sweet guy.
i dont know Alex on the other hand…although i ve heard crazy stories about her being locked in a bathroom for half hour on set, doing drugs and being out of her mind. i m not saying it s true- just what i heard, and we know how gossip goes sometimes.
i ve been, on a director’s side,in a situation where the girl i was shooting went through a really strong scene, never complained during it, smiled and asked for more, and after the shoot it was a whole different story.
basically blamed me for not respecting her limits (hello, you know you can say stop when you dont like something?)
blamed me for letting her drink on set (when she showed up on my set at 9 am with an almost empty bottle of wine)
etc… so i m kind of weirded out by that story.
it d be interesting to ask the director what exactly happened.
sometimes girls tend to make up or exagerate stories. seen it more than a couple of times. fortunately, there s always the unedited original tape , and/or witnesses.
> PL adds: I’m not trying to give anyone a free pass here on the violence thing because I’m not, but Christ, Alex is a big girl. I think she can take care of herself. If she can’t then she shouldn’t be in the adult business . I still think if she was so upset about all this she should have left the set, as difficult as that may have been.
And speaking of violence, to give you a small perspective, I have a 3 year old son. The boy has never had a hand laid on him, I don’t believe in whipping. I think it’s the pot calling the kettle black if I do that to teach him not to hit or to not do things I don’t want him to…
Look, all I know is I deem what is right and wrong for me , not for you or anyone else, and I don’t wish others to do it for me .
Just look at it this way, if the government takes away our porn and says it’s obscene, do you think that’s right of them to decide what is too obscene for you and me to watch? I don’t.
P.S. Please, everyone remember, I’m not for or against anyone involved here. I’m just calling this like I see it.
> Hardware posts: In a stroke of serendipity, I just cracked open a large peanut shell only to discover a small peanut inside. Just goes to show that you don’t know what you’re getting until you get there.
Seeing as how most of the power seems to reside with the producers/directors of porn and very little with the performers, I have to question how free one actually is to walk away in the middle of a shoot. Sure, if you don’t give a fig where you’re next meal is coming from anybody can quit their job. Reality tends to dictate a more compromising approach, though. I’m sure gritting one’s teeth and bearing it is something most of us have done on the job at least once.
Having said that, I do take Melissa’s point, as well as Quaze’s, et al, that flakiness abounds in the jizz biz. What this suggests to me is that the more outré acts should be reserved for performers who are more of a known quantity.
PS – Of course, getting rid of the more unwholesome agents wouldn’t be a bad thing either.
PPS – Personally, I think a donkey punch deserves a kick in the nuts. When those whacky producers step in front of the camera to let the gals retaliate in kind then I might be tempted to watch one of their “amusing” efforts.
>ipop writes: After she decided to finish the scene, she should have finished it, then left and found a big motherfucker to go over there and wait for this guy to leave–and beat the fuck out of him. That’s what people like this need.
Having said that, I think it would be great if all the good looking talent would just stop working for these assholes. Then they would be forced to choose between filming obscure, ugly talent, or cleaning it up a bit. As long as these girls keep accepting the scenes (and the agents sending them), these guys will continue. At a minimum, they could ask for half up front (non-refundable) for showing up and starting the scene, and the other half at completion. If you think about it, there’s an incentive for these sadistic pukes to turn it up towards the end and hope they’ll walk out (I assume they own the footage and the release is signed).
I recently rented a Meatholes movie before I knew what it was about–I just rented it because it had Dascha in it. Then I find out this is an abusive series by some pencil dick, lisping asshole who hides behind a muffled voice. In addition to Dascha (who really didn’t take much of his shit) it also had a couple of other girls I like–Deja Daire, Katie Rae, and Tiffany Minx. It was kind of like watching a train wreck. I wanted to watch it to see how bad he was, but I wasn’t turned on at all–I just continued getting more and more pissed at the guy. A lot of his abuse was more mental than physical–he succeeded in making every girl cry but Dashca–he didn’t get near her and I’m guessing she brought her own male talent (Dillon Day). In a way, I sort of lose desire for a girl who chooses to stoop to this stuff. I also recently viewed Courtney Simpson’s Max Hardcore scene from a free link. I knew I didn’t like Max’s stuff, but as much as liked her, I had to see her only anal. With the exception of the 1st few minutes, the whole scene is disgusting. How could a star like her be so desperate that she would do a scene like that? There’s a full 5 minutes of him pissing in her mouth, snot and puke running down her face, up her nose, in her hair. I hate to be judgmental, but I think people who get off to this are sick. It really lowered her appeal to me–I hope she made a lot of money off that scene.
So girls, next time you think you are that desperate that you need to do one of these scenes for these guys, go show up at a tittie bar and dance a few hours–you can probably make just as much money and increase your fan base more.
>David Aaron Clark writes: I don’t know Alex Devine. Just like Melissa, who also WASN’T THERE & only has gossip blaming the victim to offer. I only care about her in the abstract as a fellow human being.
Reread her description of the scene. Continually punching her in the soft spot on her head with a metal ring while she’s begging him to stop? & the “directors” become criminal accesories by not stopping this scene but standing there videotaping it like Chuck Haidl’s idea of some really cool dudes? That situation could have quite easily become literal snuff porn, just like when Khan used to choke out the girls before he got scared off.
In this situation, “what’s right for me isn’t necessarily right for you” is not on any level a logical or even sane response. If I think it’s okay to rape & dismember three-year-old children, or cheat people out of their life savings a la Charles Keating, & you don’t, do our “opinions” carry equal moral value? Do we “agree to disagree,” & do you let me continue my destructive actions?
BASED ON HER OWN DESCRIPTION — not to mention the proof of the trailer & the words of those who seen this clever little gem of a video — this is NOT “overly rough sex.” It’s hatred, plain & simple. & the so-called “directors” sat there, no doubt giggling, & let it happen. & now are trying to profit from it. What a cesspool porn has become in some quarters of the valley!
“She got paid to do the scene, now it’s over”?
Where the hell do people like you come from, exactly?
> SickandTired writes: It would have been a little difficult to have TRANSCRIBED the commentary for the ENTIRE scene without watching it, don’t you think?
For the record, a few things that may be of interest:
-Alex talks to the cameraman several times about French hitting her with “that hand” or “that ring.” At least 5 times that I counted.
-Alex talks to French more than 8 times about hitting her with “that hand” or “that ring” for the scene. She does laugh about it once early on, but is definitely angry about it towards the end of the shoot.
-Alex threatens to “not finish the shoot” to the cameraman about 2/3 of the way thru the scene if French “uses that hand again.”
-French tries to choke her a couple of times and she clearly says “don’t choke me,” to him…and he complies. He even says (staying “in character” it would seem) “I won’t choke you” or “I won’t hurt you,” and complies with her request to not choke her. So clearly, he could understand her and, when he wished, not do things she asked. During one of the early anal entries she cries out in pain and asks for a break, and he complies again, clearly understanding her and withdraws from her anus.
-The part where she is hit on the “wrong” side of her head (seen in the trailer) occurs WHILE French comes in her ass. She says quite plainly “PLEASE STOP” and pulls away, but he’s already come. The cameraman/director THEN starts talking and says “WAIT, RIGHT THERE” and then the scene cuts as Alex pulls away from French and accuses him of hitting her on “the wrong side.” It should be noted that, contrary to some of the opinions presented here, French did NOT hit her in the “wrong side” of her head with his ring hand. He clearly hits her with his LEFT hand and his right is gripping her ass, with the ring clearly visible. It was still clearly a non-welcomed assault by Alex, but he didn’t use his ring at all for that particular attack. From what I could see, at no time does his ring ever come into contact with her head for the entire shoot.
-After the above incident, the scene (with camera still rolling) continues with mayhem ensuing. Alex is upset (the camera is all over the place so hard to see facial expressions for this segment) and complaining about the incident, the director is upset that the money shot was screwed up (cum has already leaked out of her ass onto the black couch), so French is asked to re-insert his cock in her ass so they can shoot the “donkey punch” again (words spoken by the cameraman) and fake the orgasm. Alex clearly says “I don’t give a shit about the donkey punch, just DONT HIT THIS SIDE.” The director requests that she show French where not to hit her, she does, and they re-engage and fake the orgasm…again with a “donkey punch” but obviously not in the “wrong spot” this time.
-The ring is featured prominently in several of the shots. There are even a few closeups of JUST French’s right hand with the ring on it.
-This is, obviously, a very rough scene. Alex does encourage and invite a lot of abuse verbally, even asking him to hit her stomach during a reverse cowgirl shot. And he “foot slaps” her head violently several times, some of which occurs while she lying on her back and laughing about it. The scene has escalating dialogue the entire time with her getting more and more upset about the ring, but it is interspersed with her also encouraging and/or laughing about some of the other abusive treatment. She even “disses” French about the taste of his ass several times.
-After the shot ends, Grip, Cram and Alex do a short scene where she is roughed up “playfully” by them (and appears to rough them up also) and they claim that “this cunt fucked up the scene right at the end.” Again Alex makes some complaints (it sounds good-natured here to be honest) about getting hit in the “wrong spot,” to which Cram replies with a slap to her head that “There’s no wrong spot to hit a woman.” They then have her lick up the cum that dripped out onto the couch and apologize to the viewers. The Johnson’s then said that she fucked up the production although admit that “Alex did get a pretty good beating.”
So yes….I watched it. I wish there had been another way to get what I felt I needed to properly file a complaint, but I feel like I did what I had to.
Oh and as for the fourth copy? I wanted to ensure that I sent only FACTORY SEALED copies to the recipients. I used the fourth one as my review copy. Garbage pickup-day for me is Friday…it went out in this morning’s trash, where it belongs.
15 minutes of feeling good about myself? More like several hours of feeling terrible about the state of the industry to which I’ve contributed.
>Sick and Tired writes: Time for a short update.
After submitting my copies of “Donkey Punch” along with other artifacts, I was contacted by several other state attorney’s offices who were copied on my materials by Ms. Gandy. At least one of them have already taken action, although I find it interesting to note that the “Donkey Punch” DVD wasn’t named. I’m certain it soon will be, as I’m assured a number of other titles.
While I’m disappointed that the nature of the legal action against the producers of this travesty isn’t, in fact, assault and battery charges, it appears that justice, however convoluted, is being meted out in one manner or another. And as pointed out elsewhere in this thread, if you want to kill the snakes behind JM, you have to go for their wallets.
More info as it becomes public. For now, this should suffice.

CHATSWORTH, Calif. – Federal indictments charging seven counts of interstate trafficking in obscene material were unsealed today against JM Productions and its principal Jeff Steward, as well as retailer/distributor Five Star Video and two of its principals.
The indictment charges both physical and Web transportation of material included in the video features Gag Factor 15 and 18, and American Bukkake 13, all of which were produced by JM, and Filthy Things 6, a Powersville Production distributed by JM.
Specifically, the indictment, which was handed down on May 23, charges that the Five Star Video defendants “knowingly used an interactive computer service and other facilities and means of interstate and foreign commerce to sell and distribute, to a location in Northern Virginia, obscene DVDs … in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 1465 and (2)(a),” the federal obscenity crimes sections. The transportation allegedly took place on Feb. 6 of this year.
The indictment also charges that those same defendants “knowingly used the United States mails to mail and deliver to a location in Northern Virginia, a DVD containing obscene matter,” while another set of counts charges that those same defendants “knowingly used an express company or other common carrier for carriage in interstate commerce and delivery to a location outside of the State of Arizona, of a package which contained DVDs that are obscene.”
>Jewel De’Nyle writes: What the hell is wrong with these guys??? I’m all about great sex and some rough stuff but it’s acting and girls willing to do it and not be pushed into something so awful. I hate hearing this stuff it makes me so damn mad and makes our industry look like crap so clean it up guys and stop the circus acts and the jailhouse porn. If you want to beat someone or degrade women go to biker bar in Arkansas and marry a toothless hag who condones that type of behavior.
>lessthanzero replies: This from the Star of “Forced Entry”, the Rape/Murder porn flick. Slapped around by Luc, simulated rape, simulated murder, and pissed on before you are killed. And that’s just the first scene. The other girls got slapped around worse than you, but JM should stop the “circus acts and jailhouse porn”. Im surprised Rob didn’t run right out and start shooting that, you know that he would have no problem with it.
Oh, you were only acting, true, but the slaps were real, and probably the piss too. And so was the effect on the public and feds, that was definitely real.
Damn baby, I didn’t notice your huge balls flopping around when Luc was smacking you around.
As long as the performers are of age, and consenting, I wouldn’t tell anyone what they should or shouldn’t watch.
