Porn Valley- On Dee and The Fatmen Thursday night, chief fatman Harry Weiss reported that there was a lot of drama going on in the adult industry, one of the 3-act plays being the Jimmy D situation. Weiss explained that Jimmy D lensed a commercial for keeping porn out of the hands of children and offered his services for free.

“Jim Holliday, a director, got a real attitude about it,” Weiss reported quoting Holliday as saying that it was a bad thing for the porn industry. [Which is not what Holliday said: www.adultfyi.com/read.aspx?ID=2694

“I don’t know how it’s a bad thing for the porn industry to keep pornography away from kids,” Weiss continued, noting that 90% of the industry [his figures] has come out in support and don’t want porn in the hands of kids. “Which is a good thing.” Weiss acknowledged that it was getting a lot of press. “It’s a positive thing, finally for the porn industry.” Weiss is of the opinion that in Holliday’s twisted mind it puts the porn industry in a bad light and that Jimmy D is going against the grain of the industry by doing an anti-porn commercial. “When it’s not an anti-porn commercial.”

Dee was fully in agreement that porn should be kept out of the hands of children. “It’s up to the parents to expose their children to what they feel is necessary as they get older.” Weiss said it isn’t like a 14 or 15 year-old guy finding his dad’s Playboy magazines. Dee agrees that kids after a certain age will look for and seek out this kind of material but that parents should be more protective of that kind of material.

The Dago Bomber suspected that Holliday and Jimmy D hate one another. “Jim Holliday’s a bitter old man,” said Weiss. The Bomber then wondered if Holliday’s was actually a personal attack disguised. Weiss said he had no clue since he wasn’t involved. Dee said she heard that Jimmy D was getting a lot of grief for it. “But I don’t think it’s a bad idea [the commercial].”

Someone in the chatroom pointed out that Jimmy D isn’t getting de-LUGED with work right now, with the accent on the second syllable. “Jimmy D never really has been de-LUGED with work,” Weiss chimed in. “But he’s still got his regular gigs.” Whereas the Dago Bomber was of the opinion that Jimmy D was doing just fine judging by some of the recent product he’s seen featuring his significant other, Cytherea.

The Bomber did make one valid point. “It’s the chicken guarding the hen house. Would you have a pornographer making an anti-porn commercial? But I like that better than just some agenda-pushing bible beater making an anti-porn commercial. Either way it’s going to get negative press no matter what you do.”

Weiss didn’t think it was anti-porn to portray a message of keeping your porn away from kids. “It’ not don’t buy porn; don’t look at porn. It’s it doesn’t belong in the hands of kids.”

Prompted by an invite to call in, Jimmy D started joking about his career being on a decline.

“I don’t get any work,” he started off by saying sarcastically. “I did a turncoat commercial. I’m a turncoat [the words of an Associated Press story, by the way] to the whole fucking business to shoot a commercial that’s aimed at making parents aware- I’m not saying don’t watch porn- make them aware that if you’ve got this shit laying around your house you might want to take en extra precaution to ensure that your children aren’t exposed to it. We’re talking about young children. You know what I’m saying. You wouldn’t leave loaded guys laying around although some stupid fuckers do which is why kids [as well as adults] have tragic accidents every year.”

Asked what was the point of using puppets in the commercial, Jimmy D said, “we couldn’t pay anyone!” Jimmy D went on to explain that the commercial’s not aimed at children but it addresses them: “Hey, kids, this is Pete the Porno Puppet. But he says it in a puppet voice. He’s talking to kids in the commercial.”

Jimmy D said a certain amount of shock value was intended, that, instead of getting a “fucking” sandwich during the commercial, parents will hear the words, “hey, kids, I’m Pete the porno puppet- what are you going to do? You’re going to stop dead in your tracks. You’re going to turn around and look at that TV set. Oh, shit, they’re talking to my kids about porno? No, we’re not talking to kids about porn. This thing ain’t going to run at 8 o’clock in the morning. It’s not going to be a commercial during Sesame Street. That’s pretty obvious. It’s being used as a hook to try to force people to watch. Lord knows Madison Avenue would never resort to any tricks to get people to watch the commercial.”

Someone named Doink in the chatroom asked why Jimmy D trashed KSEX on his website about the issue. “I never trashed KSEX!” said Jimmy D. “Who’s Doink? Wankus?”

Jimmy D said he took exception to something Gene Ross put on adultfyi.com. “I know there’s absolutely zero connection whatsoever between KSEX and adultfyi.com, none whatsoever. Not even a little bit. Right?”

When it was pointed out that Wankus writes for adultfyi.com, Jimmy D commented, “So he’s a paid employee of adultfyi?” Weiss didn’t think they weren’t paying shit. “So he’s doing it for free?” Jimmy D asked incredulously. [Actually, nobody gets paid.]

“Who are you guys bullshitting here? I’m not mad at anybody and I’m not trying to pick a fight. And I certainly don’t want to get on one of Wankus’ lists cause that’s worse than being on one of Jim Holliday’s lists.”

Jimmy D said he got a little perturbed. “Wankus is a good guy. I like Wankus.” But Jimmy D seems to think there was a bit of an agenda involved. “My opinion is he had an agenda.” Jimmy D who seems to have more issues than the L.A. Times, said he had one with Gene Ross and Gene Ross being adultfyi.com, therefore he was having his issues with the site. Di Giorgio also extended them to Holliday, as well, who he referred to as “the biggest retard that ever walked this planet.” [I think if you were to ask Holliday for an opinion, he’d give you the same comment about DiGiorgio.]

Jimmy D also said he didn’t realize that Holliday was Amish. “Who shuns people but Amish people? They’re the shunning people. I didn’t know that Jim Holliday was Amish.”

In a marvelous display of ball sucking, Wankus, like the kid waving his finished homework in the face of the teacher, pointed out that he said nice things about Jimmy D on adultfyi.com.

Gene sez: What everyone seems to have overlooked in last night’s panel discussion at KSEX is that at no time did I instigate taking a swipe at Jimmy D. That was all DiGiorgio’s doing, Di Giorgio obviously forgetting that he, himself, brought the whole issue to bear in the national press when he set himself up as a martyr by suggesting he was being viewed as an industry turncoat. Holliday merely obliged DiGiorgio’s wishful thinking the following day and all I did was respond to a blatant characterization of facts promulgated by DiGiorgio himself regarding some alleged sweetheart contract between myself, adultfyi and KSEX.
