Award-winning director Ben Rush and performer Heath Halo have collaborated on a new project, marking a significant role reversal for Halo.

Collaborative Approach

Rush and Halo's working relationship has been built over less than two years, resulting in numerous collaborations that could fill a "Greatest Hits" collection. According to Halo, their approach is characterized by a willingness to explore unconventional ideas: "Ben and I's working relationship is so amazing because we both look at every potential aspect of a feature and say, 'Why the fuck not?'"

Halo has previously appeared in several notable Falcon | NakedSword productions, including the Bred & Breakfast series, where he was subjected to various forms of humiliation and degradation. In Wild Game, he again faced watersports, while in The Way to a Man's Heart, he was penetrated by a cayenne pepper churro.

Role Reversal

In their latest collaboration, Halo takes on the role of bottom for the first time, with Rush directing and eight performers manhandling him. According to Rush, Halo is "creatively fearless" and open to exploring big concepts: "Heath is very open to exploring big concepts and pushing himself as a performer. But it's never reckless. We talk through everything ahead of time and make sure everyone is on the same page."

Rush praises Halo for his commitment to the project, stating that once he commits to an idea, he "really goes all in." This trust has developed over their multiple collaborations, allowing them to work efficiently: "When you work with someone multiple times, there's a shorthand that develops. Heath and I have built a lot of trust over the years, so, by the time we got to this project, we were able to move quickly."

Background

Rush has a reputation for pushing performers to their limits in his productions. Halo has been subjected to various forms of humiliation and degradation in previous projects, but this latest collaboration marks a significant departure from those experiences.
