New York, NY— Tristan Taormino announced today that she’ll run a special fundraising promotion on her official website, PuckerUp.com, to help raise money for Dana DeArmond, [pictured] who lost all her belongings when her house burned down last week. From now through Valentine’s Day, when anyone purchases a copy of Chemistry, Tristan’s directorial debut for Vivid Entertainment, 100% of the profits will be donated to Dana’s Fire Fund, the fund set up to collect money for Dana.
“I left L.A. Tuesday for [the AVN Adult Expo in] Las Vegas. Friday, my house caught fire,” wrote Dana in a post on her MySpace blog. “The neighbor across the hall had left a candle burning in a plastic cup. I have lost literally everything. The walls, roof and all contents of my house are completely destroyed. The only things I own were in my suitcase I took to Vegas.”
Chemistry, which stars Dana, along with Marie Luv, Mika Tan, Taryn Thomas, Mr. Marcus, Kurt Lockwood, and Jack Lawrence, was just awarded Best Gonzo Release at the AVN Awards in Las Vegas on January 13. “Dana was such an integral part in the making of Chemistry, which was really a collaborative effort between the cast and I,” says Taormino. “I just wanted to do my part to help as she and her boyfriend Daniel start to rebuild their lives.”
