Sean posts on www.pornlegends.com: Jessica Dee had unprotected sex with Darren James during a production for producer TT Boy on March 23, 2004. Darren James later tested positive for HIV. Soon afterward, Jessica Dee and two other actors who also had unprotected sex with James also tested positive for HIV. James was given the not so envious title of "Patient Zero," which is now being questioned, but that's for another time.
Gene Ross [adultfyi.com] reported on a conversation he had with Nicole London in which she says that to the contrary, TT Boy is not paying for any HIV medications for Jessica, nor has he even contacted her since she tested positive for HIV.
That story sure paints TT Boy as a coldhearted individual. Here it's being alleged that Dee contracted HIV on his production set and it seems by London's statement that he doesn't care. Welcome to the wonderful world of being an indpendent contractor in the adult industry.
London further stated that Sharon Mitchell and AIM Healthcare are in fact paying for Dee's HIV medications. This is a very noble act on Sharon's part, but unlike love, HIV lasts forever thus Dee will more than likely have to take medication for the rest of her life. But we digress.
We have no idea if TT Boy feels any remores that Jessica allegedly contracted HIV on his production set or not. We have yet to see any statement from him concerning this or anything else relating to the HIV outbreak. He may have contacted a smart lawyer that told him to keep quiet.
Because Jessica Dee and the rest of the actors in the industry basically, and sometimes literally, sign their lives away by signing various industry release forms, thus rendering themselves independent contractors, TT Boy and the other production companys are not legally liable to cover an actor's medical bills. They may be morally obligated to do it when something like the occurs, but legally they are not, and thats the bottom line.
