from www.nydailynews.com – Two Brooklyn men were indicted Wednesday on charges of forcing two underage girls into prostitution through craigslist.
Arctic “Circle” Rogers, 25, and Treymaine Songster, 26, allegedly threatened to beat the two girls, ages 15 and 17, if they brought in less than $1,000 a day.
Rogers is accused of branding his nickname – Scooby – across one girl’s back, videotaping them having sex and peddling the movies online for cash.
On his Facebook page, he listed his activities as “pimpin hoes” and “getting this money.”
He and Songster were charged with kidnapping, trafficking and raping their victims, and face up to 50years in prison if convicted.
Cops cracked the case after one victim’s sister called a hotline established in June by prosecutors.
“I was really worried about my sister,” the young woman said. “He wouldn’t let her leave.”
Craigslist has come under renewed criticism after authorities found four bodies on Long Island that belonged to prostitutes who used the site to meet johns.
The classifieds site has banned sex-for-sale ads but continues to be a bustling marketplace for prostitution.
