Utah (KSL News) – Utah agents helped nab two brothers accused of peddling pornography over the Internet.
This federal complaint unsealed today charges a Cleveland-based company called “Movies by Mail” with selling obscenity. Sami and Michael Harb face up to five years in federal prison for providing what’s called “extreme and degrading” material.
U.S. Attorney for the District of Utah Brett Tolman says, “As obscene materials continue to proliferate they have become more accessible to the young and innocent among us.”
FBI agents in Utah and the U.S. Attorney’s office helped gather evidence and prosecute the case.
If a grand jury determines there is probable cause the material is obscene, a Utah jury will ultimately decide the case.
Jurors would determine whether the material is patently offensive according to community standards with no serious artistic value.
