NY- An obsessed creep has been busted for terrorizing sexy screen star Uma Thurman with a campaign of stalking that included camping outside her house, invading a movie set and penning a bizarre drawing in which she was depicted digging a grave, court papers allege.
Jack Jordan, 35, of California believed that he “loved” the “Kill Bill” star ever since he started stalking her two years ago. He eventually left a letter at her Manhattan apartment that contained a bone-chilling threat, the papers said.
“I feel afraid that if I see you out again with another man, I will want to kill myself. Maybe even after we meet,” he wrote in the missive left at her building last month.
Jordan, who was arrested outside Thurman’s West Village house Friday, will appear in court today on charges of stalking, aggravated harassment and coercion. He was being held in lieu $10,000 bail yesterday.
“He feels that he and Uma Thurman are fated to be together,” a detective wrote in the complaint against Jordan. “Since he came to New York, he has been sleeping in a car on her block among other places and has been trying to see her in person and continues to love her.”
The tale of obsession started in mid-2005 when Jordan allegedly contacted the doe-eyed actresses’ dad, Robert, who is an expert in Buddhism, according to the criminal complaint. Jordan started asking disturbing questions about Uma, prompting her dad to cut off all contact with him.
This did not deter Jordan. On Nov. 8, 2005, he showed up at a movie set at Wooster and Prince streets in SoHo, where the actress was in her trailer between takes. He allegedly tried to talk his way inside by saying he was a friend of Thurman and needed to talk to her. Members of her entourage told him to get lost – but before he went, he left a number of letters for her.
Among them was a strange and unnerving drawing that depicted Jordan walking along the edge of a razor blade while a cartoon figure of Thurman was nearby, digging a grave. After that act, Jordan’s family became worried, court papers said. They had him voluntarily committed to a mental hospital. But by this summer he was out – and still obsessed.
In early August, he drove from California to New York and camped in his car near Thurman’s Village home. He would approach her home three or four times a week and ask to see her. On Oct. 5, he was arrested and charged with stalking. He lawyer did not return calls for comment.
