From Wikipedia – Fred J. Lincoln (born Fred Perna) is an American actor, director, and producer of pornographic films.

Lincoln [pictured with the late Henri Pachard] grew up in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of New York City. His career in adult film and video has been a prolific one. His filmography at the Internet Movie Database credits him as the director of 310 films, the producer of 42, and as an actor in 64 films. In 1984, Lincoln won the Critics’ Adult Film Award as Best Director for his film, Go for It.

His credits in mainstream cinema are limited, although he did notably play the role of Weasel Podowski in Wes Craven’s controversial 1972 horror film, The Last House on the Left. In the years since its release Lincoln has called the film “a piece of shit” and has claimed that he refuses to do appearances at horror conventions. Despite his apparent disrate for Last House he has stated that he enjoyed making it, and he has also appeared in several documentaries relating to it and also contributed to a commentary track with costars David Hess and Marc Sheffler.

Lincoln is a member of the AVN Hall of Fame, which recognizes the lifetime contributions of pornographic actors, actresses, producers and directors. His movies had very high production values as compared to the common porn fare, with well rehearsed acting, creative camera work and elaborate locations. “I don’t light my sets like game shows,” he once told journalist Jerry Holden.

Lincoln succeeded Larry Levinson as the owner of Plato’s Retreat, a sex club in New York City that thrived in the late-1970s – early-1980s.

Lincoln has been married twice, to Patti Rhodes-Lincoln and Tiffany Clark, both pornographic actresses.

Lincoln is one of the chief “interviewees” in Legs McNeil’s oral history, The Other Hollywood: The Uncensored Oral History of the Porn Film Industry (Regan Books, 2006), wherein Lincoln reveals much detail about his life and work.
