Utherverse, a virtual reality and metaverse technology company, has announced its inaugural Adult Game Fest convention and trade show, scheduled for September 24-26, 2026. The online event will take place on the Utherverse platform and aims to provide a dedicated industry event for the adult gaming sector.

Adult Game Fest Details

The Adult Game Fest will feature virtual exhibition halls showcasing game studios, technology and service providers, and payment companies. Attendees will have access to interactive product demonstrations. The event will also include an "Adult Game Investment Forum," which will host live startup pitches and investor presentations.

Educational conference tracks are planned to cover topics such as game development, AI, creator monetization, legal and regulatory compliance, publishing, and emerging technologies. Beyond formal sessions, the convention will offer executive networking events, curated business matchmaking, entertainment, and after-hours virtual socials.

Attendees will receive a digital swag bag containing measurable offers, exclusive content, discounts, affiliate promotions, product trials, and digital experiences. Utherverse Executive VP Anna Lee stated that the adult gaming sector generates an estimated $500-plus million annually across platforms like Steam, Patreon, and Itch.io, but has lacked a dedicated industry event for developers, studios, creators, and brands to connect, showcase titles, and conduct business. Lee added that Adult Game Fest was created to address this gap by offering an immersive, avatar-driven convention experience. Lee also noted that adult game developers have historically faced challenges in gaining visibility and connecting with players and potential business partners, and Adult Game Fest provides a platform to reach an audience of gamers and adult content consumers.

XBIZ has been named the official Media Partner for the event. Sponsorship and exhibitor packages are available across multiple tiers, offering brands and studios immersive activations, naming rights, digital swag bag placement, and direct access to a targeted audience of adult gamers and content creators. Early-bird tickets are available with a 50% discount, and credentialed industry professionals and influencers may apply for complimentary access. Utherverse's History in Virtual Conventions

Utherverse, based in Vancouver, Canada, has a history of hosting virtual gatherings. In February 2012, Utherverse, in conjunction with XBiz and Red Light Center, hosted the Adult Entertainment Virtual Convention (AEVC). This event was described as an online-exclusive gathering in a 3-D web environment. The AEVC in February 2012 drew approximately 8,000 attendees over three days, with the opening party alone attracting 2,410 simultaneous participants.

Utherverse received a patent in September 2012 for its technology that enables an unlimited number of avatars to attend the same event. Brian Shuster, Utherverse CEO, stated that this technology was demonstrated at the adult industry convention. Shuster also mentioned that Utherverse has hosted other virtual conventions, including an authors convention for self-publishers and large-scale Utherverse user conventions. He noted that typical Utherverse conventions draw between 6,000 and 8,000 visitors. Shuster indicated that speakers at these events have had over a thousand users watching their presentations and asking questions, which was possible due to their technology. Shuster expressed his belief that the limiting factor for virtual worlds becoming dominant had been the number of avatars in a single space, comparing it to a hypothetical limitation on the number of users for web pages.

Brian Shuster also stated that Utherverse operates what he calls the Virtual World Web, which consists of interconnected 3-D virtual worlds. As of 2012, he said there were 80,000 commercial and over one million private worlds hosted by Utherverse. He also noted that the exhibition hall for the AEVC could be expanded as needed, describing it as "virtual real estate."
