LAS VEGAS — Golden Age distributor VCX gave back to one of adult’s pioneering directors, donating a portion of its DVD and video on demand sales to Henri Pachard’s cancer fund.
VCX President David Sutton said the effort, which set aside 20 percent of June’s disc and VOD sales for all four volumes of the Pachard-directed groundbreaking classic “Taboo American Style,” brought in over $900 in contributions. HotMovies.com contributed $500 to the cancer fund as well.
“Henri’s ‘Taboo American Style’ entertained many people since its release 23 years ago and I’m very pleased that we are able to help him now through his movies,” Sutton added. “He’s one of the greats of this business and the work he’s done for the companies in this industry should be recognized, especially now. The people I work with at HotMovies.com also stepped up to he plate with their contribution and I hope more companies will follow.”
Contributions to the Henri Pachard Cancer Fund can also be made directly to Protecting Adult Welfare (PAW), at 17400 Marilla St., Northridge, CA 91325 to the attention of The Henri Pachard Project. Donations are tax deductible.
