LAS VEGAS — Classic adult producer and distributor VCX gives back to one of the industry’s legendary directors, committing a sizable contribution to Henri Pachard’s cancer fund.
VCX President David Sutton pledged 20 percent of sales generated by Pachard’s groundbreaking four part series, “Taboo American Style,” in June. Sutton, learning the plight of the award winning director, looked into what he could do for the Protecting Adult Welfare-coordinated Henri Pachard Cancer Fund.
“Henri is one of the greatest directors this business has seen and shot some of its finest movies, not least of which is ‘Taboo American Style,'” Sutton added. “He truly is someone who made the movies from the ’70s and ’80s — the Golden Age — continue to endure and sell 20-plus years later. We at VCX hopes Henri will pull through and beat his cancer permanently.”
Sutton hoped other companies with Pachard-directed titles in their library give to his cancer fund.
“If it weren’t for the directors like Henri, who give so much of themselves into everything they do, this industry would be much poorer in so many ways,” he said. “I’m very pleased we’re able to contribute to this fund.”
