The race is on to see who will reach 700 first this season- Barry Bonds or William Kennedy Smith. Smith has been charged with another rape.

Chicago- Kennedy clan black sheep William Kennedy Smith is again facing accusations that he raped a woman.

The nephew of Massachusetts Sen. Edward Kennedy and the late President John F. Kennedy was sued yesterday in Chicago by his former personal assistant, who charged that Smith, 43, sexually assaulted her in his home five years ago.

The suit, filed 13 years after Smith beat a highly publicized rape case in Florida, comes from Audra Soulias, who says Smith attacked her at his North Side digs in 1999 after plying her and friends with booze to celebrate her 23rd birthday. “He dragged me into his house, dragged me upstairs in his bedroom where he raped me,” she told Chicago’s WBBM-TV.

Smith blasted the allegations as “outrageous, untrue and without merit.”

“Unfortunately, my family and my personal history have made me unusually vulnerable to these kinds of allegations,” he said in a statement released by his Center for International Rehabilitation, devoted to improving the lives of the disabled, primarily in war-torn countries.

The suit seeks “in excess” of $50,000, but Smith said Soulias has demanded $3 million to make it go away.

Soulias says Smith, now a doctor, left four voice mail messages after the attack, saying, “It was not your fault,” “I have a problem” and “I will get help if you want me to.”

Her lawyer, Kevin O’Reilly, says Soulias came forward after Smith’s own group began investigating other women’s claims that Smith had subjected them to inappropriate sexual behavior.

“Audra is here to make sure there are no other victims of Dr. William Kennedy Smith,” O’Reilly told WBBM. “This heinous behavior has to stop, and that’s why we’re here.”
