WSU’s Federal Sanctions Beg Question: Was Jack Venice Framed on a Rape Charge?

Last week, for instance, it was reported that Washington State University was fined $82,500 for not reporting several sexual assaults that occurred in 2007.

According to the Feds, WSU was in violation of a campus crime reporting law known as the Clery Act.

The fine was handed down after federal education officials completed an investigation of WSU’s campus crime statistics. The Clery Act requires campus notification of potential threats to students and employees. And violations of the Act are investigated by the student aid office of the U.S. Department of Education, and punishment may range as high as suspension of federal financial aid payments to a university.
