Wilmington, NC- Still fighting the police and local city officials both in New Bern, North Carolina and Wilmington, North Carolina, adult store owner Greg Sakas says his latest tussle now is with the planning dept. and the appeal board of Wilmington.
Sakas says he intends to subpoena some of the city officials which gave permits to other adult stores in the area and have allowed those stores to continue their operations without interference.
“They’re [the stores] operating on the same guidelines as we are,” says Sakas who’s been a marked man since January of last year when New Bern police raided his establishment.
This year his Wilmington store was raided no sooner had Sakas had his new Bern case tossed out of court.
“Actually we’re more in compliance than any of those stores,” says Sakas who has a court hearing December 11.
“Now they know they have a fight on their hands. They should have known that to begin with. Now they’re certain of it.”
